As a first time buyer at 22, the first vehicle I financed was a brand new Suzuki Baleno GLX automatic, I chose wesbank as a finance house, FNB and the dealerships FNI advised me that the bank will prefer you buy a new vehicle or newer than a year old.

Yooh! The first question 🤣 Thabo should have asked this question in 2015 The problem is that he's still going to travel 45km per day on top of the high milage the car is gonna come with. I Think he should look for an Auris, Run X, corolla, ballad, jazz, Getz, i20, yaris and NP200 but they gonna be a very high milage.

R60k… Honda Civic 1.6 vtec, Sentra 160i or even a few 200’s. Toyota RSI is out of the range but I can pick up a number of Suzuki Swift 1.5 first gens..

Also. With difficult cars you can source parts like EBC brakes within days. These are often better than OE..

Got a new job and wants a car of R700-R800k. First get both feet into the company. Besides that, just because you can afford an expensive vehicle doesn't mean you need to kill your finances. The future is uncertain, I hope he has a house already and put extra money in the access bond.

R60K will buy a car that reflects your financial position (not necessarily your struggles) ... keep away from turbos and Germans and initially expensive cars - once expensive, always expensive.

The ford guy should keep his fully paid old ranger. Especially if it means financing, not worth it. I was told that mine will give me problems, but I am still cruising nicely, parts are extremly cheap and always available compared to my other car, Nissan

New Volvos are kak reliable with no dealer network and a parts waiting list too.
