IIRC, You are meant to change position of your finger each time you are asked to press it to screen. So, you should have used bottom, top, and both sides of that one finger during the adding process. Pressing it the same way 5-8 times won't work, when you aren't pressing the EXACT side which was recorded.

I'm having the same Wifi problem. It's because the S24 is defaulting to 2.4 and disconnecting from the 5 and 6 gigahertz bands. Definitely needs a software update to prioritize the faster connections.

CJ, I have a suggestion regarding your slow WIFI speed tests on the S24 Ultra. As you have illustrated, I have had the same problem occasionally with ALL our household phones which included S22Iltra, my new S24 Ultra and my wife's iPhone 13Max, ect... . Interestingly, I also see this problem on my desktop PC which is directly connected to my router via Cat 6 and also on my WIFI TV's. My ISP provides me a 1Gb down, 30 Mb up connection. #1) In my case, I simply toggle off my phones Wi-Fi, then toggle it back on selecting the same connection. On my PC, I do the same for the direct Cat 6 connection. #2) I change the default Metered Network from Auto, to "None" or not, for both Wifi and Cat 6 connections and that make sure the WIFI 6 setting is enabled on my router. (mine is set to off by default) #3) I set my router to reboot at 3:00am every day. #4) While my PC runs all night, I still reboot it and my Cable Modem each morning when I am making my coffee. Doing this provides me with really consistent, but not 100% perfectly reliable high speed thruput of WIFI at 940Mb Down and 35Mb up and Cat 6 speeds of 990Mb down and 35Mb up. While I know almost nothing about modern WIF or direct connection networks or routers, I think I know may have an idea of what's happening in my case. My ISP, provides me with Dynamic IP and Dynamic DNS only. When I spoke to the tech staff at the ISP on several occasions, they said that users are moved around on different channels (or whatever) to accommodate the fastest and lowest traffic connection available. They also said, they do not offer Manual, Static or Fixed connections because it is better (Quality Of Service) for the ISP and the customer. Who am I to argue? So in a nutshell, I think that for some reason, the dynamic connection occasionally does not rotate to a less congested channel. Rebooting my devices pretty much always fixes this problem. Interestingly, I wear high end hearing aids for profound hearing loss due to my military service. Occasionally those things misbehave also, requiring a reboot. Works like a charm. Back in the old days of MS DOS, and early windows I beta tested (RAD) Rapid Application Development database software (Paradox, FoxPro, Alpha5, ect) which I used to write front end and back-end retail systems. Somehow, my ISP discovered this, and they have since asked me to Beta Test each new Cable Internet speed they offer prior to rolling out to the public. Again, to be clear, I am very little network knowledge, however I do notice when it's operating reliably and preforming well. I hope this helps. Keep up the great work with your channel.

When I saw it on the ground I thought it was something else and used my foot to drag it from under the bench and realized it was my phone facing screen down....I was devastated thinking I ruined it, but surprisingly just looks like I scraped the edge of the screen. I'm going to see a repair guy soon to see if he can just buff it out.

Love your honest reviews & all your content. When outside recording yourself, your skin tone looked very close to the camera you used to record this video while being inside. The skin tones looked a lot closer than the indoor comparison. I'm not talking about when you were using the "pro video mode". Definitely inconsistency going on with Samsung and their cameras. When you were using pro video outside it looked like the color tones were a bit on the cool side where I typically prefer the warmer tones which I can't seem to replicate. I'm not a big fan of pro mode anymore. Speaking about pro mode/expert raw, Samsung some how found a way to screw those modes up over the past few generations. Raw photos are NOT raw anymore. They are processed images which screws up the whole point of having raw photography in "pro mode". If you haven't already, I encourage you to was Brent Hall on KZbin and his professional opinion about these issues when using pro mode & expert raw. I'm really hoping Samsung steps up their game in the camera processing department, especially with white balance & overexposing every damn image in bright lighting conditions. Hopefully this next update brings some changes in these areas but I'm very skeptical.

Skintone camera segment of the video is 100% correct for us melinated folks. It is a South Korean company and South Koreans are pretty white to olive colored so it maybe a reach for me to say there is a bias there. But if not this next update fixes it for sure the S25 Ultra will correct it as there is a rumored redesign of the phone completely.

Only way to get natural and accurate skin tone reproduction for us Black folk on a Samsung smartphone is by switching to Manual/Pro mode where you will have full control over all elements of the camera. The cameras are not the problem, it's Samsung's absolutely garbage computational image processing pipeline when in auto mode.

I know that samsung wifi does not work with some channels and configuration even on wifi 6, so maybe you need to test the settings on your router if it makes any difference

It's the Orbi. Have been having nothing but issues with the new Orbi 7. Went back to my Orbi 6 and get better speeds. Orbi needs to release some serious updates especially at that price point. We bought a couple units through work and they al experience the same issues. Even after fiddling around in the web UI advanced settings and working with Orbi Support.

Hi! My fingerprints don't work properly either, I've done them repeatedly and repeatedly and carefully, even when adding a fingerprint, this sensor doesn't read my fingerprints properly, oh my god, how come I don't press these fingers or set my fingers, it just doesn't read my fingerprints properly even after adding them during. My hands are also very dry often. I found that if you have a dirty finger, the fingerprint reader works better. It was the same mess with the S23 ultra, the face detection is also included in the s24 ultra, so if four times out of five it does not detect the fingers, I quickly open with the face detection, I also have a stronger sensitivity when pressing, it is not useful either. In this regard, my iphone 15 pro max is still absolute, whether it's dark or white, it opens at lightning speed at any time. Thank you!

Do you change angles of your finger, you have to try to get every angle of your finger I have no problems, I would say I have a 99% rate of success. You cannot register your print the way CJ did, it would mean that you have to hit the reader the same way every time! I also do Face Unlock, it is the best it has every done on a Samsung phone. Register in good lighting for the first, alternate face I do in very dim light with glasses. It works all most all the time!

CJ I agree with you on Samsung's colors. I have had the same issues with Samsung for a couple of generations. I noticed it more as I started to learn photography. I am no pro by any means. Just a novice but I have noticed the differences with darker shaded objects and darker skinned people like myself. I upgraded because of Wi-Fi issues with my S23U and I wanted the flat screen. I am pleased with my S24U as it has been an upgrade with my WIFI experience and I love the flat screen but there are noticeable bugs with the camera that need to be addressed.

Well, coming from the Note 20 Ultra, I absolutely LOVE it!!! The one caveat is that it's not as Loud as the 20 Ultra. Sure, it sounds fuller (Bass, Mids, Treble), but it's not as Loud. As for the vividness, it's already been addressed, the correction has been recognized, and a "fix" comes out tomorrow. But the density of the image is unparalleled. Even if it's not vibrant, the image quality is amazing! Fingerprint sensor is light years beyond the Note 20 Ultra. It's "instant". But, my favorite feature is the brightness (nits) from the display in direct daylight. I thought my Note 20 Ultra was fine, but now I realize just how far behind that phone was. It is nearly indistinguishable between shaded and full sunlight.

Could be something with the phone because mines ran crazy numbers on the speed test the only thing with my ultra is my 14 pro max seems to be brighter, the iPhone battery seems to last longer and the Samsung internet browser looks cheap I haven’t tested the camera but so far that’s what I been noticing I’m waiting on this update hopefully it fixes some of the issues I’m experiencing with Samsung

I've never had my androids be inconsistent. I think the wifi issue is because it's new and/or software tweaking etc. Samsung knows what they're doing but sometimes things need tweaked. Just like the 15 pm with their overheating issue at first.

Your WI FI modem is on automatic setting for both 2.5 GHz wich is max around 150 Mbps and 5 GHz ON. Go to settings and activate only 5 GHz signal or separate both with name marked when you search in wi fi connection. This is only thing to do. With some reason i ternet modems change wi fi on devices if they notice where is weaker signal or more needed

For your WiFi issues, you should create an SSID that only broadcasts on the 5 and/or 6 GHz wireless bands. Having a single SSID that broadcasts 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz will cause this problem. As a senior network engineer, separating out the bands is the best thing you can do for your wireless network. Have a dedicated SSID for 2.4 GHz devices and another for 5 GHz and 6 GHz devices.

Change the settings and look at your display with the eye comfort shield on and in dark mode, much better and clearer display option and easy on the eyes

Brightness of display is perfectly fine on my s24u. Adaptive Brightness works better now compared to previous models. I didn't have to manually adjust slider everytime.

CJ, Samsung is pushing out an update this month to fix camera issues as well as other issues. It already hit the overseas markets. It should be here in the US by February 25. Let’s give them a chance.

I was watching a video of the s24+ vs iPhone 15 pro max just out of curiosity they did a test of every single performance including that test you did of wifi the s24 + did much much way better than the iPhone and your test that u did I honestly will pick either way the s24 + or s24 ultra any day over the iPhone 15 pro max

I'm surprised at this one. I have some iPhone user people I know that say they have so many call, connection, and security problems. I still have the Fold 3 and connect to everything better than their iPhones. Maybe the one you have isn't the best unit.

CJ, samsung announced that the anti reflective property isnt the reason for the washed out colors/dimming. They put it there on purpose.

I have the S23 Ultra... no point in upgrading because it's still a Beast by far. I say don't bother wasting your money. Just wait a couple years to upgrade not to mention the Galaxy AI update coming to the 23 series anyways in a couple months. Only upgrade if u have S21 and back.

I have both the S23u and S24u right now, the display is by far much better, the battery life is another level, the speakers and the microphone are better and for me, its absoloutely worth as an upgrade over the S23U

Only issue i hsve is my screen is grainy at low brightness. I got f*cked and samsung gave me one of the displays they half assed and didnt do any demura process on.

Coming from Samsung plus lineup I've had over the years I must say this only had my s24 ultra for a week & a half this is my best s24 ultra phone by far I can't quit playing with it getting use to the cameras & the pen

Brave man.😂 Noone likes to talk about such things. I had faulty FP sensor on s23 ultra they denied to do anything about it. They acknowledged that it was only working 1 out of 4 times but said it is what it is. They said It will only work like that. After few days i was feeling very confident and rinsed some water to clean dirt and the display got damaged 😂. In India budget phones worth 150$ are beating all samsung phones in 5g speeds. Many brands have provided 5g calling but not samsung and same with carrier aggregation on 5g. Samsung just does not care about performance and network in general. It's always been an issue with their phones.

Iphones and apple products become obsolete which no one mentions. Android and windows can always use apps no matter how old. My old ipad cant even use or update apps its useless. So keeping value is pointless if it becomes unusable eventually

The negatives I have found are: Manufacturing is a little sloppy, where the frame meets the antenna bands are not smooth One UI is still limited compared to other phones I've used App specific crashing (some games, Snapchat has some major issues) Good Lock seems to amplify these issues Recycled design is annoying I can't get over the fact that it omits Qi2 The design makes an already very wide phone even wider (titanium edges curving out)

I honestly stop buying Samsung phones a couple years ago due to an extremely bad customer service issue they knew Note 20 ultra screens were randomly blacking out there was numerous KZbin videos on this problem and it happened to mine. They act like they had never heard of this problem. Problem is people keep buying there devices even though the cameras have issues with darker skin tones The only way to fix this is to show them by not buying the device. I've been a pixel guy just because they implicitly demonstrate that they care about people with darker skin tones.

Once the vivid slider is installed and if you put a tempered glass screen protector on and if you turn on extra brightness it will be great. I havent really noticed outside of icons being that much different. Also you can save your one ui apps and layout without good lock as well. Nova launcher is great but i have no need for it anymore. My iphone 15pm been asleep since my s24u arrived 2 days before launch.

Only thing holding me back is the camera. Samsung always makes my skin tone look weird or super smoothed out and I’m Asian. I dislike that. Only reason why I stay with apple is because my pictures and videos look more realistic as in skin tones. I’m not going to fumble with a camera app to make my skin tone look more realistic. I mean that’s a $1300 phone it should just do that out the box. When Samsung fixes that is the day I’ll come back to Samsung 😭

I'm pasty white and it makes me look either washed out or mutes my skin tone to where i look almost yellow (as per testing on my sisters s24ultra). It seems that people in the middle colour wise are the only ones where it gets it actually right.

Regarding the cameras and skin tones, I'm gonna keep it real: Samsung is a Korean company who, I believe, prioritizes Korean users. So, regarding the camera software, they tend to smooth and lighten skin tones because that is what they think the overall preference is for Korean selfie users. As a fellow brown-skinned person, I completely agree with your assessment of the cameras. But I don't think Samsung will ever change, unfortunately.
