I have the Skoda Superb Estate version of this car. 360Bhp 4 x 4 DSG, adjustable suspension & electric everything. It's a real life sleeper car that's infinitely practical as a family car with a huge boot. Bigger than the Arteon I think. The Arteon may have the better looks though but the Superb as a used buy is much cheaper.

My work colleague got one at the end of last year, i immediately had to go for a look as it just looked so good in crayon grey. Had a sit in it and as you say the interior of the R design is mega! Love the shape of a shooting brake ! Never been a massive vw fan but love this id have one! 👌

So much more stylish and better in any way than any SUV. The price was their downfall when new though. The BMW 5 series is a better car but can't quite compete on interior space. And please take that phone off your windscreen. A pillars give a big enough blind spot without adding a phone alongside it.

Well Archie. I bought the car and it drove crap, gearbox was jerky. I would love to know what you plugged in and why Basingstoke VW let you plug into the OBD port. The surround around the port had been damaged too. We asked them for a response and they've gone quiet. Very unprofessional. I suggest you don't tamper with dealerships cars in the future when your not going to buy them. That will be someone else's pride and joy after you've messed with it.

Hi Archie ive been watching your channel since you 1st started and this is the very 1st car that you have thought about buying that i 100 % agree with .its fast its practical, it's got 4wd its dsg and it make more sense than any other vehicle you have bought before. Very nice. I don't think this model is available down under. Neither VW electric cars yet either. Golf R in the showroom yeah not here. Years after you guys got them they are in short supply. Plus stupid high $85k ask. Lots of Aussies keeping high mileage old cars. Still have my Mkv 2008. No trade in value. A new GTI if you can get it, is also way too much. Sam and Tony were shocked by our used car prices also.
