@@fly1ngpapaya Which is nothing but prejudice. In fact, the only thing that is known to cause issues is an unmaintained (!) Multi-Air unit in the US version. Regular oil changes with the right oil are absolutely crucial. However, the European version comes with an old-school T-Jet engine that is dead-on reliable. Still, regular oil changes are mandatory since the engine can run pretty hot in the summer. @sigmaprojects Жыл бұрын
@@speculative The batteries on those first gen last for a while, but really if you want it to feel like it should a fresh battery should be swapped in. I got one with I think an original battery that had 200K miles on it and after about a year threw an IMA code. I took apart the pack and swapped out cells that looked borked and then tried to rebalance them. Worked pretty well for another 2 or 3 years. When it started to show issues again I just bit the bullet and threw in a fresh pack and it felt completely different than an old "working" pack. So if it's just about saving cash then yea keeping the old pack running and just using it as a fuel sipper works, but if you start enjoying it for fun driving on a budget a new pack goes a long way. Especially if later you get the current hack installed to over boost the EV motor assist/regen.

So instead of bringing it over as a brand that no one really knows they started rebranding them as Saturns. Like the Opel Astra became the Saturn Astra in the US. Before they axed the Saturn brand they were planning on basically making it the Euro centric brand for the US by bringing over other Opels and rebranding them as Saturns. In Korea GM owns a bunch Daewoo, in Korea no one knows what a Saturn is and I don't think Opel has any presence in Korea so they branded it as Daewoo to be more recognizable. Same for Europe, no one will know what a Saturn is so it was branded as an Opel GT. The Saturn Sky/Pontiac Solstice were all manufactured in the US I believe and then rebranded when sent to other countries.

Looks wise, i love the saturn sky. I wish saturn would have stuck around and used more Honda engines. The Sky is crazy heavy, but if they would have put a J series in it, like they did with the Vue, I think it would have single handedly saved the company.

I agree with the volvo, the Infinity even know it’s appealing; they are soon to go bankrupt so parts may be an issue in near future. As for Leaf, sure it’s impressive torque on demand is great, but for a car that has been proven to dramatically lose range over years of ownership from battery depletion, is it really worth it when you only can travel like 70 miles after 5 years of it’s release!

You’re forgetting the Chevy Cobalt SS (LSJ and LNF) if you want a strong reliable engine that can hold 500hp on a stock block, the cobalt SS with the 2L LSJ motor is the one to buy. I currently own one and I have had no problem with the LSJ motor. I recently finished installing my ZZP entry level kit with a PCM update. 400hp on a stock block and power delivery is by far better since I swap from a supercharger to a turbo. But even a fully stock LSJ is fun to drive. But if you want more power, the LNF cobalt SS is a way to go.
