Yo Brian, I’m newer to riding ,almost a year on the road, i started with an 07 ninja and i blew that 6 months later and now i have my 04 gixxer 600, i ride bmx and i’m wanting to learn wheelies and ive tried on the gixxer but i’d really like to get a good stunt bike to learn and put down instead of my daily 😂 my question is what bike would you recommend for beginner riders who would also like to learn to stunt also. (mainly wheelies and rolling burnouts and drifts, technical shit later 😂). great video though i’ll use this when i get an answer 😂🤙🏻

Always check the battery voltage! With the engiengine off it should be around 12.5 and when it's on the voltage shouldn't be less than 13.5 and not more than 14-15 volts... it's important that your charging system works else you might end up spending 300 bucks on an alternator and a R/R..also, always have a cold start of the bike.. if the engine was already warmed up then reschedule for another time...go through all the gears when riding.. sometimes the gear dogs are worm out and the bike would slip out of gear.. bring a go pro or a action camera... incass the seller will blame any faults on you... "oh you broke my bike.. it wasn't like that before etc..." having footage will help... check the exhaust for rust... then use all these points to negotiate the price... inspecting the bike shows that you are serious and a serious seller will consider your price given you justify it... a shady seller will be more aggressive when you are inspecting a bike or so.. in that case walk away... I have managed to reduce the price by $800 by simply following these steps... one last thing... hold the front brakes and bump the forks up and down.. if it leaks.. the owner was trying to hide that.. my 2cents
@freeridemoto71335 жыл бұрын
My biggest concern is not as much as the bike but the owner. A good owner with a rough looking bike will last, while a polished bike can have a bad owner that had no clue how to maintain it but made look nice to sell to a naive buyer. OfferUP/craigslist over the years you can have all sorts of owners vs how the bike looks upon arrival

most of these are things you wanna check for when buying a clean good condition bike, if you are buying a 1 grand 600 for stunting out shit like slipping clutch, leaking engine/forks, messed up radiator are no big issues cos u can do a full all around service fixing all of these issues for well below another grand and you'd still be coming out cheaper

i just bought a 2013 zx6r in really good condition with just shy of 10k miles. Fresh fluids, he claimed new brakes (which were in pretty good shape) all that good stuff. bought it for 5500. Two little dings on the tank that were covered with touchup paint you can barely notice and she needed a front tire. That was all well and good but as we were talking he let it slip that he bought the bike for 5k then quickly corrected himself and said yeah but i have dropped a lot of money in parts and what not. The bike was fully decked out with tasteful mods and he claimed it was recently fully serviced so i didn't really press the issue. Guy only really bought the bike and had put a 100 or so miles on it. He was selling because he needed the cash he said. I took it as eh this bike wasn't for me time to try and get my money back. Guy also had a really nice R1 he was selling so i figured w.e he either really does need the cash for w.e reason or this bike just wasn't for him. My dilemma comes after watching videos like this and learning from buddies that the 636 is often a stunt bike. Has me a bit nervous how he managed to buy it so cheap and wanted tp flip it so quickly. It kind of dawned on me all the OEM plastics look brand new because maybe they were never on the bike. Stunt bike flipped back to its road self. I mean i gave it a good looking over and everything looked great. no hard parts had a scrape or scratch on them, forks looked good, only real problem was the front tire needed to be replaced soon. I'm just curious what you all think. should i be nervous about this? Guy maybe was a bike flipper just trolling the area for great deals polishing them up to look great and charging a bit extra? Or my biggest fear there was something seriously wrong (possibly from being a stunt bike), he knew about it, got it real cheap, then decided this isn't worth my time. I brought it to the shop to get the front tire mounted and balanced and they didn't say anything, but they weren't being paid to look for problems so idk what to make of it all. Should also mention he lives down in VA and i live up near a city in the tristate area. Maybe the markets are different and what i consider "cheap" is normal down there. Thanks all for any input. Ride safe.

Ted s DID you Not Read the question above? These comments are about Stunt-bikes, doesn't matter about horsepower, in fact any bike can be made to stunt, just the 636 is the one of the best.

Hey Brian I bought a 2009 Kawasaki ninja 250 off a friend for $100 I knew the bike wasn't running but he told me it's a simple fix keep in mind I don't have any knowledge on motorcycles I noticed the airbox is missing the carb is off and the fuel line is cut how would I know if the engine Is in good shape and is it worth fixing. If you see this or if anyone has knowledge on the bike can you possibly help me out.
