DRED FX YT-channel has a hack for the Trigger respons, by mounting 2 PTFT seal from H&S on the Neddle guide behind the trigger. So the trigger engages the guide directly!

There is a cheap mod to fix the trigger response, you put a couple of the replacement PTFE washers on the very end of the spring assembly where it goes into the trigger, this take out the slop between the trigger and the spring assembly making it a lot more responsive (you do have to ream the washers out a little to make them fit, but very mush worth the 5 mins and $10 it takes to do). This works on all the H&S brushes apart from the budget Ultra).

@@scottyboy6269 thats good if it worked for you but i personally think all it does it reduce the trigger travel .. i literally checked carefully ,there is no play at all when u pull the trigger .. for better visuals look at the chuck nut when testing the trigger play and u will notice the moment u pull a mm on the trigger u got movement on the chuck nut .. so there is no play in the trigger. the problem is not coming due to this as literally there is no play .

Another great review💜✌️😊👍 They're a great AB, I have one, I've done the cheap mod to it and it's on point now, re paint up take etc. The 2024 version has a new set up (which should alleviate the "lag"), so one of those in alloy, would be my perfect AB (but we've yet to see the 2024 Infinity 🤔😉).

my second airbrush was an ultra solo and i have to say it's nice and light and the floating nozzle design is better than any other airbrush. For one, it's big and it doesn't feel like it would break and it's definitely easier to clean. If only the Iwata airbrushes used a similar design.

@@scottyboy6269 I almost am considering buying an h&S after seeing his hack.. since ive had plenty of opportunity to try them, i was always left feeling disappointed due to said issue. Ironically I also feel an airbrush that costs that much (at least in the USA) should not have an issue like that. Perhaps some clearly do not mind, but if you go from an iwata or a creos or even a badger the slight delay will be noticeable.

About lower airspeed, can we compensate on a higher airspeed airbrush like the Eclipse by lowering our PSI? Or is a lower airspeed airbrush always a better solution for closeup thin details (like miniature painting) and is more important than getting an airbrush with better action?

It' a shame it has the response issues. It seems near perfect. If they could fix the trigger response and add a cutout to the rear so you can remove the needle without taking off the back this would be a perfect airbrush for me and a must buy. I think I'll stick with my Sotar for now though.

Regarding the trigger response (everyone is mentioning) I used an o ring, I used a $0.05 1.9ID one that I bought for micron/creos CM copies air head (or two ptfe seals) and it makes a different, the little hook has some play

Check Dred FX on youtube channel, in his last video he fixed trigger with two o-rings for infinity. Did it myself and the difference is night and day, it also works with evolution.

Hey, great video. My Evolution tough keeps spitting air when I am not pressing the trigger. Do you have that kind of problem?

I get this from time to time too. the air valve assembly needs to be cleaned so that it doesn't get stuck in the down position. a small amount of iwata lube on that assembly helps a lot too.

may be do a review on h$s grafo .. it has different trigger mechanism than infinity . may be its trigger response is much better that the trigger response from this mechanism

I just managed to break parts on my Iwata Eclipse during an attempted cleaning and during my search for replacement parts (which initially looked like it'd be a 50% of a new brush, before I found a better place) I came across this brand... And now, of course, wondering if an Infinity or Evolution would compliment the Eclipse and or offer the ability to do more?

it's a perfect compliment. The infinity and evolution with the .2 or .15 are excellent detail airbuses. Eclipse for general work/larger applications and the H&S for detail. It's a great combo.

I was considering in getting one of those, but I've seen a generous amount of negative comments on amazon and other seller pages, from bad after sales, to units that don't live up to the reputation and that some Chinese cheap airbrushes are sometimes better that a Steenbeck you might get. It's as if some people got counterfeit Steenbecks, or it's entirely random if you'll get a good airbrush from them or a bad apple. Have you ever had a bad experience with any Harder & Steenbeck airbrush?

hey you can bend open the 2 prong needle protector and then it slides off alot easier .I did tried to put the teflon washer for improving trigger response but unfortunately it doest not work . Its another false info spreading on youtube . since i picked my infinity up after couple of years as i got demotivated watching your vedio on infinity 😆,i dont blame you u just said the truth , the point is that i am able to do fine work alot more comfortably by using the needle limiter , i thought since the trigger stop is so well designed on h$s and the fact u can seemlessly go between your setting to complete open , i started using it and its alot better now. Plus i reminded my self of facts why i choose infinity at the first place. 1. free floating big nozzle -easier to clean 2. triple teflon seals 3. that sick trigger stop mechanism. i would say to a person who has purchased infinity and now regrets that they should have purchased 771 , please dont get de motivated give it some time and practice and focus and u will enjoy painting with it . its a good brush but yeah the trigger response issue is there and we cannot dis agree on that.

The new Angel Giraldez edition infinity apparently has a redesigned trigger assembly which is more responsive maybe you could test that one at some point?

I have an infinity and an ultra, and i think the ultra is not a good airbrush. In relation to trigger responsiveness, its not about the airbrush, its all about the paint. H&S airbrushes work only with very well thinned paints, in my case i do 2 parts thinner to 1 part paint and it works fine

Iv had my iwata hp+ for over 15 year's $200 and i still haven't had a single issue, just buy the appropriate nozzle and needles for what your spaying. .04 most paint manufacturers and miniatures, vallejo,citidel and so on. Fine work .02 hairline work/advanced. If your in need of this details it not so much your air brush. Its your paint thickness/thinness and your (air pressure) most important all... Dont buy a $300 plus airbrush and expect perfection. This will not matter. Buy a cheap one and learn, im also an automotive spray painter bye trade. Also h&b stole the eclipse name from iwata just so you know
