You’ll be happy to know that I’ve owned a 2021 Rubicon and used it very hard off-road in Moab Utah. I now have a 2024 Rubicon also used heavy off-road. I have never had a single problem with either one of my Jeeps. They are amazing!

We got our Gladiator last year. We were looking at the Tacoma but it’s really hard to find the 4x4 version. Our Gladiator is the sport trim, but that’s what was in our price range. So far I’m pretty pleased with it; I plan on leaving it mostly stock. I’ll probably put 33 inch KO3s even though you could put 35s on it; don’t want to put too much weight on the drive train. It doesn’t have lockers, but the trails I’ve been comfortable taking it on don’t really need it. When the time comes I’ll put some air lockers in it.

My 24 Willys Gladiator came with Dana 44 axles and a Rear Locking differential. The 3.73 gearing is perfect, she runs a nice easy 2000 rpm at 70 mph giving me pretty good gas mileage. The 8 speed automatic is real sweet, the same transmission that was in my 392 Challenger, first gear is real low, almost like a creeper gear. I live in North Florida and trail ride mostly over in the Osceola NF, lots of sugar sand and water holes. Love the 32 inch Firestone Mud Terrain tires that came on her, she real nimble turns real tight on the trails. She's got heated seats and steering wheel, CC, adaptive CC, Hill decent/ accend CC, LED lites all around 12 iinch screen, awesome back-up camera that zooms in on the class 4 hitch ball. I'm real happy with my Willys, the best part was she was about $20K less than the Mojave I test drove. I'm putting a black ARE Classic hard camper shell to carry all my camping and recovery gear.

You hit the nail on the head! I just bought a Willys gladiator myself. It’s that perfect middle of the line trim that gives you all the tech comforts and still a very capable 4x4. I would have loved a Mojave but it was out of my price range and in all honestly, had way more off road abilities then what I could ever need.

That’s crazy that you have rear lockers, I really was unaware that it was a feature available on the willys model - very cool! Let me know what you think of the ARE topper, they look real good on the jeeps that I’ve seen drive by that had them, and they seem pretty functional. Enjoy that big screen!

Under Optional equipment: Customer Perfered Package 24W $7100. (their's about 25 items, I'll list the main ones) Tru Lok Rear Axle. Terrain Specific Off-Road Plus Mode, Willys Suspension, Gorilla Glass, LED Lites, Class 4 Hitch, Aux Switches, Heated Seats /Steering Wheel / Mirrors, Remote Start, Firestone Destination Mud Terrain Tires, Color Matching Fenders.and more. Under the Standard Equipment were Dana 44 Axles, Fuel Tank and Transfer Case Skid Plates, Front and Side Air Bags, Trailer Sway Control etc.

I never had a jeep but heard the jeep pickup had a good simple engine that you could repair your self if I was going to buy new I would look at the jeep trucks

I’m not much of an engine repair guy, but seeing how a lot of mid size trucks switched over to the turbos for better fuel economy, I’m happy to have a classic 6 cylinder that seems to have pretty good pick up and go! The jeep, overall, is very easy to work on!

The only trim that offers the max tow option is the sport s. Also, the 2025 Willys now comes with rear lockers but they no longer offer the manual transmission. Just food for thought. Best of luck on your channel’s success.

Just a note, the correct pronunciation is ‘Willis’ as in ‘Bruce Willis’ not ‘Willees’. It’s a very common mispronunciation. That information comes from the Willys family itself.
