those werent first edition base set, a large majority of the ones in toploaders were cp6 which is japanese evolutions, a good way to check is at the bottom of the cards they say 2016

The gold "w" on Misty's Psyduck means it's a promo Wizards of the Coast reprint that only came in magazines. Only seven cards got this treatment in Wizards' entire time printing Pokémon Cards.

It's french, I used to have a massive first edition card collections. I was collecting them here in montreal. I moved away and my father gave my collection unknown to him it was extremely valuable. At least a bunch of kid's got to play with them.

Once I did, I ask my father to send me everything he could. Back in 2011. I lost everything. My pictures, baby memorabilia,all my sporting trophies.... basically everything that was me. That's when it flash to me that I used to have a big collection of yugioh and pokemon cards. So I ask him if he kept that part of my childhood. He told me he gave both collection to his wife's 3 grandkids. I couldn't be mad about that. They stayed with the "family". Even if I don't speak to them since I'm 17 years old. So, I understand your point. But my answer to you is, not everyone leaves the nest on the good feet. I left because my step brother decided he wanted to be with my ex girlfriend, he talked trash in my back while seducing her and once I got proof of it, he blamed me for snooping in other's business. At that point, I couldn't trust my own family. With no jobs, no real life experience and no idea on how the real world goes.... I packed up a bag full of things, clothing, sleeping bag and some food. Waited for my dad to come back from work. Gave him a hug and said simply bye. I went 3 years without talking to them. At that point, I was 17 years old and living in the streets. So my pokemon cards... where the last thing on my mind.
