This might be sponsored but they are giving out the facts of these machines they are not overstating nor understating. I have one these and I can assure you that for the regular users these outshine anything in the market in its categories. If you are looking for a small lightweight, long battery life, strong performer laptop at a very low price then there is nothing else in the market and this is not even talking about features. If you are a student, home, casual, or business user you can't go wrong with theses. If you are a creator then it depends. I edit videos for a living and these work for me. If I did 3d work it would be a big no, at least a this moment. If I Gamed it would depend on the games. I got a 14,5 inch yoga slim 7x with an 90 refresh rate oled screen with up to 1000 nits, 32 gb ram. Great camera and keyboards for less than 1300. us. And the build quality is on par with the best.

Just cause the developers aren't influencer who makes posts when they aren't paid doesn't mean Qualcomm doesn't work with developers, alot of apps and games have dropped updates since these released and many creative apps too have created arm specific versions, even adobe has brought back premier pro but( it will still be emulated till they can fully create a working arm version) Don't get me wrong these laptops are no where near perfect but as they continue working with developers, it's only sensible from a business perspective to market these improvements too, and also to get more revenue to keep on working with developers and be sustaining the innovations Many people have bought these devices and are happy, some have bought it and found workarounds for their own each use cases, these laptops will continue to evolve and if they continue at this pace the compatibility issues will be mostly solved in about a year or two, especially as they are working directly with Microsoft

Just Josh did a livestream and he pointed it out that Qualcomm is doing this. They are actively paying influencers off to talk about their laptops because the sales suck even after the hype. Where as AMD shows up with Strix Point with very little marketing and paid no one off and let those Zen 5 cores speak for themselves. You get comparable battery life and sleep time, better single and multi core performance, much better gaming performance thanks to the 890m, and most importantly...perfect app compatibility since its x86.

Battery life is good, but not even close to these Snapdragon options .Also strix point laptop prices, at least for now, are straight up outrageous. The S 16 is more expensive than a MacBook Pro 14. Same when Tom showed the "battery test" in video playback,even if not rapresentative of a normal use scenario, the Galaxy Book 4 Edge has 16" display with the same refresh rate and pixel density of the S16, and it still outperformed the S16 by 3 and a half hours with 16Wh less battery capacity. Qualcomm is still clearly ahead in overall efficiency against Zen 5. Amd shines in performance under full and multicore load, a thing that people who buy these kind of laptops rarely do anyway, so for an office use, web browsing and university work i would still chose a X Elite powered laptop, because you get better battery life, practically identical performance in everyday use, and you probably won't have any compatibility problem with your routine. X Elite will fail, at least it would be a mainstream product, I mean how can you charge this much for a laptop (u are not apple) it is windows in the end. If they were available on the right price, the price around which you get similar performing windows laptop, Yes they are a bit slow, and have the 1/3 battery life. But they cost half the price. If these xElite laptops were to come out at an reasonable price, they would have been a real game changer.

You notice that most of these KZbinrs will not do a non sponsered video on Windows silicon. They pretty much all use Mac Books and will gladly do non sponsered videos on their products. It's unfortunate for people who rely on them to make decisions. Sure, they criticized the IPad Pro, but not until after people were stuck with them. They are influencers, not reviewers, and only provide value to the companys. Note that these same influencers did positive sponsored videos on the Asus S16 yet said only 10 hrs battery life here. These numbers can be easily influenced based on power settings and screen brightness and type of panel. Their only service is lining their pockets.

Surface Pro 11 if you need a tablet form factor, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7x if you need a laptop. That Lenovo is a beast. A ThinkPad T14s if you need crazy long battery life. Dells and HPs all have their own QC issues and Asus is a nightmare if you need to RMA. That being said, it's nice to have so much competition in the space.

I've got a really nice Dell Inspiron and it's been great. I'm not a gamer so I don't necessarily need graphics speed, but I need graphics quality. But it's really heavy, about like my 2010-era Macbook Pro. So, that battery life and the weight would be advantages for me. My biggest problem right now is that I've "future proofed" my tech so well that I don't need anything new for a couple more years. I really want to pick up the Book 4 Edge but I can't really find anything about how DAWs are impacted. The couple of answers I have seen aren't positive. I'm being pushed towards a mac book but I really don't want to repurchase all my amp sims and plugins. I hope more tech reviewers talk more about audio production and editing. Mostly they talk about video editing and gaming. The x elite seems like a golden opportunity for windows to catch up with Apple in this respect

I nominate a new measurement for influencers, forget NPUs for AI stuff, how abou SPUs for shills per minute? No proper benchmarks, no relative comparisons, vague 'it's got better statements'. I've got a Snapdragon laptop and I love it. I made sure it does what I need before I bought it. Good battery life, plays WoW, runs Affinity Photo (both natively) and of course all the Windows 365 stuff. I've never touched the Co-Pilot button because I just don't care and really you can do all that stuff in a browser if you really want to. If I'd seen this crappy shill-fest before I bought my machine I'd have thought twice about the Snapdragon route. I really think it reflects badly on all involved. This truly is the QVC of Influencer/ creator colabs.

After buying one, the honest answer should be, if you use everyday apps and programmes, don't game, don't have a lot of external devices like printers, cameras etc, then yes go for it. Battery life is excellent, the screen on my Samsung 4 Edge is stunning, processing speed is top notch and everyday apps run as smooth as butter. If you do want to print, connect a camera or other devices, then DON'T!!! Wait for a few years until driver support is better, if that ever happens. Stick to Intel or AMD powered machines for now.

3:27 the screensize matters a LOT (I just bought a zen5 hx365 Asus S16). The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge is known to slow down the snapdragon processor A LOT (10-15%) to achieve 13.5hr battery life. The Zenbook S16 has a similar screen size but 2.5x the 3D processing capability, so yes, it uses more power because it is much more powerful. If you compare the speed of the Samsung Galaxy Book4 and Asus Zenbook S16 running at similar speeds, I think battery life would be pretty close (+ / - 10%). Also, Intel isn't even worth mentioning - they are 4th place in the Laptop industry ... Apple #1, tie: AMD/Qualcomm #2-3, Intel #4.

Timing is really so meaningful, just after release of Ryzen 300 series and before release of Lunar Lake. Actually before this "advertisement" I was really considering X Elite but now I am convinced that X Elite is trash compared to Ryzen 300:)

Qualcomm and MS partnered up for an unspecified term, and they are the sole distributors of this chip. So Android and Google have to wait for the deal to expire. With the amount Qualcomm has paid to YT creators, they are betting their lot on its success, but it hasn't been a raging success. Hence, there is round 2 of new sponsored videos...sorry ads.

Dude we need 16 inch (16:10 ratio) OLED with good keyboard. Samsung keyboard is not for typing, too thin. We need lenovo keyboard or Zenbook S16 looking one with 90+ Wh battery.

but for industrial people and engineers i still think Ryzen 9 ai hx 370 (god awful name) is better option because most apps are still not native arm and emulation won't works for software like Matlab, Keysight ADS etc

I don't get it how these guys could accept sponsorship from Qualcomm. I am not saying that videos shouldn't be sponsoring but at least make sure it's not in the conflict of interest with what you are reviewing. There are so many negative things that I was concerned with these laptops about compatibility, gpu.... Etc. But now I can't listen to any of these guys because the video sponsored. They don't even mention how they stack up against the new AMD CPU that just came out.
