If you make a name for yourself and find those buying from garage sales, storage units, etc and let them know you're buying something(games, antiques, cards, jewelry, etc) and make that connection you could have a hook up for your collection. Just takes the effort of finding the locals who want to flip items fast like some of the various people shown in the videos. They could go through the effort to sell them online themselves but it's not their main thing to look for, they're on the fast money track and a quadruple the buy right away works for them.

100% agree, this series is just garbage. Complete nonsense. I hope they get it over with quick and get back to what made their content interesting. I'm waiting for them to stumble onto a garage sale (not staged by the way) and see a 1 of a kind copy of some long lost game that the person selling it has no idea what it is, selling it for a quarter, when it's actual worth is the exact amount of money they need to hit their 50k mark. Also these guys, (Millionaires btw) will still be like, "would you consider selling this for 15 cents instead?" And after scamming the person. . . I mean excellent negotiation skills, when they got back to the barn they would be like, "OMG this is worth and just sold for the exact amount we needed to hit our 50k goal. Isn't that crazy!!!"!" Like and subscribe if you also think it's crazy!!! Also be sure to buy this week's sponsored product! Also please have your friends subscribe so we can beat an NFL team. Thanks!. . . .guys don't pan the camera that way, they'll see the staged garage sale set we made. . .LIKE AND SUBSCRDIBE BYE!!!"

@@de1855 You clearly don't understand what they are doing here. You see, they have two rules for this challenge. The Speed of Cash! And The Fast Nickel Model! But seriously their content isn't going back to it's roots. They did a 2 minute ad sponsor eating cardboard cereal that only required a script reading. He built an entire goddamn barn and has a huge staff. All he cares about is recouping his money. Otherwise he wouldn't be buying 5 digit collections. But he is at least somewhat transparently fair about what he pays and who's getting a ROI.

@AmyBluesoul I have two local guys I trade toys and LEGO with for games that we all find at flea markets/garage sales. Maybe meet up once or twice a year anymore. It's never a truckload of stuff or a frequent revolving door or guys selling me stuff though. And not an entire old video game rental store. It's kind of interesting to see how these guys get their stuff nowadays but like I said its so unrelatable that I'm losing interest in the channel. At least they still have some occasional garage saling vids
@AmyBluesoul4 ай бұрын
@@de1855 Compared to all other flip/pickers I watch, these are the only ones that I've seen them offer more than what the garage seller asks for so they don't rip them off. They often want to get somewhat close to what they'd pay for their % of price charting.

For me, and this goes for you chase or for any other reseller looking to save up money, I was having zero success at all saving anything, all the money I was making was going straight back into inventory. But, (since im a bit of a lower income store) I decided I would only keep $50 of spending money in my debit account, and all the other money I made would go into a savings account. I try to spend the $50 everyday, and when I get paid I simply fill my account back to $50 and put the rest into a savings. I couldn't save even $400 in 4 months of work before this, but after I saved over $1500 in just two weeks. If I had continued on the path of spending as soon as I got I would have been stuck in an infinite circle of absolutely no reward. Maybe something like this could work for this challenge, making vaulted money go in more often, and I hope this could be good advice to any beginner/intermediate reseller looking to make it effective in their lives.
@TachibanaTengoku4 ай бұрын
Ehhh, spending it as soon as you have it on new inventory doesn't necessarily have an effect on profitability, assuming you aren't just blowing it on random junk that isn't profitable or moves slowly. The start of reselling is the hardest part unless you get lucky. Reselling is one of those things where you will be crawling for the first few hundred, depending on what you're selling, even up to the low 1000s, after that you're pretty much golden. I sell primarily trading cards and when I had under 1k in assets it was awful lol You're basically just waiting for stuff to sell and you're always broke, but once you get to the 2-4k range and more, you really start chugging. Now my inventory is usually hovering around 10-15k in value, with another 8-12k in cash and a few thousand worth of unlisted stuff I need to sort through. Monthly I usually do around 15k gross and my profit is usually around 4k or so, which is good enough for me for now.

I normally like the content on this channel, but this series is so disingenuous. Can you please drop it, and just go back to the normal format. This idea of turning 10 dollars into 50k is complete BS. If you honestly wanted to see if this was possible, you'd create a completely unknown channel, and have the person running it be an unknown. Also you wouldn't use "sources," for help. The average person doesn't have multiple people combing garage sales, thrift stores, online line stores, finding all these amazing low ball deals, to just offer it to you for a little more than they paid, well under it's worth. It's a complete fantasy. Cause we all have those friends that show up with a truck full of gaming hardware and accessories and offering it to us for 50% and under it's worth. Those people would sell it themselves. Which honestly this truck gent should go. He'd be making waaaay more on his own. This series might as well be scripted, because of how delusional it is. It's just nonsense. If you're familiar with Linus Tech Tips, they used to do a pretty awesome series called, "Junk Yard Wars." They would essentially scour their local area for computer parts, and try to build the best PC they could for a budget they would set. But even they had rules saying they couldn't user their name to get a better deal, cause they knew based on their popularity people would most likely give stuff away knowing it would help them out. So they would use fake names, or even have other people go and buy hardware. It kept the competition pretty fair and interesting. You guys are basically still using your name, connections, and popularity for this experiment. It completely defeats the purpose of the objective. You guys are basically playing a game with cheat codes.
