Common error. If you have $85k, figure out a way to leverage it, aka invest with a return to allow you to pay for the Mclaren. When you put that $85k down on a lease, it’s gone at the end. If on the other hand you buy property & get income from it, you have an appreciating asset that supports your desired lifestyle. Don’t fall for the trick. Some friendly advice 👍

If you get a used 570s for $150k, with 20k down your payments would be around $2300/month. However, you’d be putting money into the car instead of into the dealership with a lease, so you could sell whenever you want and end up saving more money buy getting a loan for the car since you’re essentially building equity into the car. Only downside is that you’d be responsible for maintenance.

Take advice from someone who actually owns supercars!! Start off with a 2012 Mclaren... and work your way up!!! 80k isn’t alot of money down especially for a brand new 200-300k Mclaren. 80k is a hell of a great investment for your future. Especially when it comes to 1 to 10 million dollar VA Loans for a house for ex. The average house is 1 million dollars. Supercars builds your credit quicker than any industry I pay 2000.00 a month on mines to build a even stronger relationship with the Bank that approved me.

You absolutely can not just trade in leases! Leases are contracts and you’re on the hook for the entire term. If you’re paying any money down, you’re better off buying with regular financing. You can get loans for 7 or even 10 years. You can always sell or trade in a regular financed car. Leases are no good for flipping or any terms longer than 3 years.

honestly with your 2019 (probably) Fistral Blue 570S, that is going to be your best deal based on what you told us. Another huge factor in a lease is the mileage per year, dealers will market a small downpayment and monthly payment but they’ll ‘hide’ the tiny amount of miles you are allowed per year. The 2016 deal was nuts, I have never heard of a dealer (even a consignment dealer which CNC is) coming up with a downpayment of 85k unless it’s some hypercar. That’s pretty much a 50% downpayment on the price of the car. About CNC’s quote, the GT deal was better than the S hands down but I don’t think the car really fits you that well as it is just a more daily drivable S with a more muted exhaust (unless you get the sports exhaust which the S usually has anyways). You don’t get those flying buttresses on the S, and I don’t think you don’t need the storage because that’s what the M4 is for.
