I can't tell you how many adds I've seen where it looks like they just got done running the truck through a mud puddle and decided to put it up on marketplace!! Or the add says "only ran a few times" and the tires are bald! Jezzzz!

Agreed, I don't understand why people try to get retail for used RCs. Its funny to see them on craigslist for 4 months or so and still not sell. Same thing with the hop ups.

Funny that I found this video today. Last night I found a truck that I’d like for my daughter. The guy wants $150 plus the drive to get it. I can order it brand new $149.99 shipped to my door. The second you order it the price drops. Just like real cars. Great videos Mark. Love your channel btw. 👍

Man you are so on point I am so tired of these people trying to charge me like they are selling view latest and greatest all brand new when in fact it is old abused and run down some of these people selling off RC should realize that it is an expensive Hobby and that they are not going to recoup the initial expenditure so yeah this is a video I'm definitely putting on my post and sharing because I am constantly reminding these sellers that they ain't going to sell it to me like it was brand new great stuff Mark keep it up

Bought 5 pk 4 electric 1 nitro drift for 200. 1 mini Revo 1 rustler 1 bowie 4x4(never heard of them) and a vintage team ass. 10L pan or carpet car rolling chassis. Bowie running in 30 minutes after opening box. Mini revo need remote and and arm for front shock. Rustler. Need motor and esc. Nitro works great after a day of cleaning carb with 91%alcohol. Was plugged with oil from fuel. Started right up after cleaning it. I collect rc cars and electric trains. Summer hobby/winter hobby.

It's real bad now. I paid 300 for a truck that cost 450 but it was totally used up. I didn't mind this time because it got me reacclimated with suspension bearings and screws again.

I don't use anything real fancy when I clean my models, hot water and a nylon bristle brush. I run them on a backyard dirt track so they get dirty. After every use I rinse them off hit em with a hair dryer and then put em up til the next day.

I paid $130 for my Traxxas truck it needs new shops new motor and a new antenna it got yanked off in the first battle of racing I pulled the cover off and internal ripped my little metal thread off talk to replace a few other things off the racing the engine is shot is not moving the truck at all Lindenwold this sounds there's no sound no movement only thing it will do is turn on and won't go reverse or forward would you recommend buying parts off Amazon or would you recommend buying it at the RC hobby shop

This is so true. I will message an seller and be like, seriously. It's used, abused, not even clean, blah blah blah, get real......."well, you don't have to buy it then"......... They just don't get it. Lack of pictures and description. If you can't describe what you got, and you obviously don't need the money your asking. I too started RCing in November, I feel this is the time of the deals. October to November. Keep the content coming.

I hate when I see a dirty car for sale at dealership prices. It doesn't matter what upgrades they have done either. I haven't touched my 18th scale since our indoor track closed. I did just acquire a Parma 66 Mustang SCT body. I was thinking about putting in on my Tekno SCT410.3 and going to the drag strip. Any suggestions on a cool wheel/tire combo

It’s fun. There are a couple of tracks near you. I think. I know there is one in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I know it’s a big area. Great for kids too. It’s a big thing now too. There are two worlds IFMAR in Japan and D1-10 in Europe. Not just a bashers hobby anymore.

whats even more frustrating is the people who resale there used kits an they charge the same amount that they almost bought it for an the they sell it with nothing on it like u are originally buying the kit just assembled an I find that to be the biggest bullshit either sell it with everything on it or sell for half price not like 50 or 80 dollars cheaper then buying original kit

@@MarkHayekNC So do i. And i've had to upgrade the shocks, because the stock ones are weak as shit and the top shock cap just pops off every now and then when jumping it. Casterblocks, wheelhubs and such to rpm plastic, and upgrade the weak plastic driveshafts to gpm cvds, and if i had decided to keep it the next upgrade would be gpm diffcups. the vxl engine is too high KV for that car so it gets way to hot if you run it without a heatsink and a descent fan. the esc needs to have a fan bought for it, or it will to overheat. and all the screws rust easily, but there are complete aftermarket stainless steel screw kits you can buy for the car. and some of the bottom screws get scraped so easily that you have to replace them quite often. and as time goes on you might as well just built a new car from the ground up where everything is an upgrade part. the stock diffs were even grinding hard every few revolutions. i mean c'mon. the rustler 4x4 vxl is not that old. it should at least come with the gtr shocks, heatsinks and fans and aluminum wheel hubs and casterblocks. their chargers and batteries are a waste of money too when you can get a universal charger and higher C rate batteries.
