I dont recomend the cheap charging station that Ryan showed because I have one and over time I noticed that the sharp plastic on the top that wraps around the TouchPad, was sratching the TouchPad, te TouchPad on my ps4 controllers still work fine, but its probably better than too risk it.

I have one of those stands without the game holder. I actually really like it. I literally just use it as a base because I have a separate controller charger, and I never use the fans, but it feels sturdier than the stock stand that comes with the console and I don't have to worry about it tipping over as much. I also like the thumb grips because they protect the nubs from getting chewed up, and they feel better on my thumbs than using them without the grips.

I use the thumb grips to protect the sticks from wear and tear. I remember pretty much destroying the sticks on both of my original 360 and PS3 controllers. I used them that much, that the rubber wore down. I've used thumb grips ever since. Granted, controllers are built a little differently now (and those parts are easily replaced), but it's become habit to buy new thumb grips for each new controller 😅

I actually think console "carry cases" are a good idea. Although I say that because for me I'd use it less for travelling and more for storage, since I feel its better and easier than trying to shove everything back into its box exactly where it was and making it all fit properly again, since with a "carry case" all you need to do is put it in the foam insert for the console, controller, whatever space it would have for wires and you're done.

I got a silicone cover for the controller because I wanted to help keep the controller from yellowing. I also noticed that for some reason my hands were sweating more with the dual sense than the DS4. I also used plasti dip on my system and it worked perfectly and I love it. $6 at Walmart for a can took care of it

I hope people see this if you do enjoy skins make sure your using a hair dryer on a high setting or a heat gun on a low of medium setting while applying skins. It warps the skin to have close to nothing with bubbles. Personal experience it takes time but it’s worth it in the end.

The only unofficial accessory I'd like to find is a cover for the console, to protect it from dust when I don't use it. There was some of them for PS4, but it was horizontal, now with the PS5 being vertical, I'm concerned about the dust coming inside my console when I'm not using it, since there's a lot of dust in my apartment (I can remove dust from a surface, a new layer of it by the end of the day), so a cover would be great.

The analog stick nubs are great for some people! Maybe it's because I have small and sweaty hands, but my thumbs tend to slip off the analog stick slowly and need readjustment. The nub makes it slightly bulkier and I can hold my thumb in a better position. I wouldn't buy them by itself, but one of my PS4 accessories came with them and it was something I never knew I needed.

That carrying case is really nice. I got a similar case but a more expensive one from Pelican. I use it for my camera gear. It is really worth it if you want to take your console to someone else and transport it safely!

The cooling fan + charging stand i can definitely vouch for, its kept my ps5 very much cooler from the bottom and have found it to have kept the console a few degrees cooler with a laser thermal reading, its atleast cooling the power supply area of the console that produces a lot of the heat on the bottom half. I was getting frequent crashes before putting it on as well. Plus the charger has helped with keeping my dual sense in place and always charged. I recommend it since the original stand that it comes with its doing the console a disservice and causing it to heat up bcus it blocks those small vents on the bottom.

An area that for some reason also happens to be covering inlets/outlets with the cheap stand that is included with. Which actually brings up the question, why did sony engineers design it in such a way having those be blocked away if they were desing to be there in the first place? If they're are so great, why have we seen this launch be bugged by countless failures all over the place. As well as breakdowns/analysis by reputable tech people finding faults in the design that seems to be more of a going for a good look rather then the most effective for heat dissipation. I can only speak on my first hand experience with the cheap chinese made fan stand, that like it or not has helped my ps5 keep a bit cooler. In my opinion with the console so far, the console crashes are a software issues that are still happening but much less often. But the heat readings i was getting was definitely reduce by 2 to 3 degrees with this cheap fan stand and just one degree diference in tech can be a big deal. So y'all can take it however y'all like, it is what it is...

I bought some eXtremeRate Dualsense shells in clear blue and clear purple, mixed up the parts and made 2 unique controllers that I love. The shells are absolutely worth getting. I also got some transparent black plates and RGB LEDs from Toshihama that are pretty nice. I am gonna customize the plates by cutting those top front corners off to look more like the dark plates 2.0, and I plan to paint the shells with a galaxy theme from the inside with transparent paints.

External fans aren't a good idea. Air can act as a solid and tumble with turbulence and restriction. You can limit the inflow and outflow.
