Can i suggest how to save time, energy and motion? Fild your fabric wring side out before you wing it on the boards. That way it's ready to cut, sew without and fiddling and it won't fade. I did a time and motion study once and life was made much easier. You're a wonderful example of getting ahead in life with hard work and great ideas. Well done, Taylah. 💖❤️

Etsy sent out a marketing email this week that was completely bow-centric - apparently bows are back on trend across tons of different categories. One photo was of "heel bows" (??) made from a pink/lilac sheer fabric, shown from the back, worn above a pair of high heels (I don't know if it's some type of pantyhose-incorporated design geared towards fancy/wedding/holiday events, or if it's a separate accessory worn around the ankles, showcasing the bows on the heels, but it was elegant & intriguing to say the least!) At any rate, it made me think of you/your biz!

My main sewing was pet bedding. I akso have made some skurts and dresses for myself. Then i went to tote bags, drawstring bags. Then little draw string pouches for my friend who made ear rings. Then i started on scrunchies and my latest thing clips..

Really sturdy pretty shopping bags would be a good seller..especially considering that the supermarkets are going to paper bags.

If you string up the peppers you can let them ripen and dehydrate them at the same time if you string them in a warm dry place

I live in Melbourne and this time of year there are several big markets on each weekend and there are lots of stalls selling scrunchies. And yes maybe you are not as well known here but that’s why you should come out and do heaps more 😊 I would definitely come out to see you and support you if you do 😊

love a good fabric haul! those Christmas prints are SO cute. In the states it seems like we got the same designs as last year at our shops.....I'm getting nervous about the next few months of sales. I've had to stop doing markets because they just aren't as profitable as they use to be. Your vids keep me positive tho!!!

Luckily fabric doesn't go bad really as long as you keep it well, so getting it when you can get good bang for your buck helps your business bottom line.

So true! I pat myself on the back for investing in plastic totes early on when I started purchasing fabrics. As much as I would love to have all my fabric "out" and readily available on open shelving, perfectly folded the way Taylah does, my apartment set-up doesn't offer the space or capability to devote a single room to just my sewing. Factor in pets, general household dust and fuzz...I knew if I didn't store my stash properly, I'd live to regret it. So I bought various-sized plastic totes, tubs, cases and drawer units whenever I could along the way (saved tons of money with coupons, clearance sales, what have you - office supply stores are a great resource as well) and kept a literal lid on everything! Had to set my sewing hobby aside for the last year to earn some "real job" (haha!) money and am THIS CLOSE to getting back into sewing again,...so grateful my fabric collection will be as fresh & ready for me as I am for it!

Yeah she’s a bit behind on the videos - she mentioned “first of October” early on in the video so I suspect she made this no earlier than in September. 😊 they’re still fun to watch but not sure how it works with the shopping 😊
