It's such a pleasure to watch you shop at flea markets and sales because you are always so careful to put things back in their place and you never make a mess. Truly a sign of a thoughtful person!

Between the fog and sparse pickins, that was like an apocalyptic flea market!!!😄😄😄 For one brief shining moment during the intro, I was all "YES, LET'S! LET US GO TO THAT MARKET!!!"... but then I snapped back to reality and started eating Doritos in bed, again. :/ 😁🤗👍

One of my favourite things to do, is to watch people talk about what they are interested in, or their collections. Their faces light up. So much happiness comes from them, it brings me joy. And I learn something too so its win win. Your face when you lifted the box for recap, is exactly what Im talking about. So much happy there. :D In a world that can be doom and gloom sometimes, its so nice to see a genuine smile. :)

I thought $5.00 a piece for the books was a great price. I never understand dealers who bring things to the flea market and act like they don't want to sell them. Why drag the stuff around for a year when you have someone who would buy it all. Also you always crack me up when you love the old manuals about plumbing or cranes. Another great video !!
@PaperandMoose

There's just something about the catalogs/manuals and the drawings of the items that I can't explain. I think it was the attention to detail and just how nice it looks, even for advertising a piece of pipe haha.

Those are really nice finds...A couple of weeks ago when I attended a Estate Sale I bought a bunch of LIFE magazines from the 30s and 40s (great condition). The owner knew the interest I had in them and said if there are any left after the sale I will contact you...well he did.. and let me take whatever magazines were left for free. I have them displayed in a vintage wicker basket.

Some interesting trivia that might be of interest to you. The advertisement on the back of the last Chatterbox book .....the children may have been drawn by Maude Humphrey, the mother of Humphrey Bogart I believe the Crane Valve Co. is still in business. I used to work at a power plant and we had lots of Crane valves The jet taking off is a B-47......there is one on display at the Boeing Museum in Seattle

The Chatterbox books are wonderful. You are right that it's good to get some connections at the flea market, I have found one this summer. I help him to estimate some items and help him to put those on eBay and on the other hand he gives me postage stamps and vintage postcards for free or for a small money. Also I helped him at the flea market to sell for two times, it was fun and I learned a lot.

That first table's contents looked a bit weather-worn...one of those 50's cars, a Chevy Bel Aire brings back memories...my folks bought one of that model new in "55. It was a beauty, I was the envy of the neighborhood...buying a new car was a big deal back then. Your plus and minus shirt is the perfect costume for flea market shopping...can be both negative and positive! I love old product and hardware catalogs, have several of these. The piece with the B-52 Bomber is neat...from the early 50's. The backbone of the Strategic Air Command. The Big Bands of the era recorded these WW II classics...have many of these 78's.

To strange went to my Tuesday flea market a seller had tables full of paper including some Chatterbox books! I was thinking I wish PaM was here. He told me he got it all at a yard sale , he put a box together and when the woman told him $5 he made a deal on about all of it. I saw a guy buy some local advertising and post cards for $200 off him I bought homemade black felt backed skeleton missing its leg bones for my girl , $2 talked down from $3 I think you bought pretty well, that trade catalog was pretty neat. Some of them are desirable like McMaster ones. A Snipe is a class of racing sailboat, 15 ft. with 2 men. I used to crew on a Chesapeake bay log canoe , big very fast antique sailboat made out of 7 logs, sometimes I would sail on a snipe with a friend. Think they were first made in the 1920s Popular boat back then for people to make

At least at this flea market, they do not leave merchandise out overnight. It always hurts to see sellers that leave their items out overnight at a flea market only to come back in the morning to weather worn, ruined items.

I did too. That is the "Amish" design I believe, part of which I own. This design is one of the more desirable ones. I bought the bowls in Arizona. On the airplane back the flight attendant made me put my bag in the overhead bin with the Pyrex nside and some older ladies fussed on her and told her she had better not break my Pyrex.
