Buying & Installing A Sears Sickle Bar Mower (First & Last Job I Do With This!)

After looking for a sickle bar mower. I finally found one all the way out in CT. I installed it on my ss18, and lined up a job to use it. After everything was looking good the mower ended up braking pretty early on. So look out for part two where I fix and go back out and finish the job.

Start from the outside, cut clockwise around and around until done. Finish the uncut traveled area outside, running counter clockwise over the only run over grass. When you run over uncut grass that is taller the wheels will flatten the grass and the cutter knives will slide over the top giving you uncut grass and also may plug the bar. We call it rooster tails where those spots stick up later
