My first job ever was as a birthday/party host at CEC. The absolute best place to eat lunch and take a nap was behind all of the animatronics. The benefit was that since the shows ran every half hour or so, it was a great way to know when your lunch was over. The bad part was that the animatronics still moved around even when the curtain was closed.

The king is definitely way more rarer than rock afire characters, it's such a shame that a portion of the ones found recently are always just the head and torso. I guess it makes sense though considering how tall the character is. I've been on the lookout for one, hopefully someday I come across one. Nice find!

Some people you may want to get a hold of for a possible future endeavor are "Billy Bob's Wonderland" in West Virginia. I used to go there often and they are still open with a full working Rockafier band and Co. They are still in great condition but not sure how long the restaurant will remain open.

In California in the 80s, we had two children’s places to go for fun (not including theme parks), Chuck E Cheese’s and Bullwinkle’s. A rocky and Bullwinkle themed gaming restaurant that was EXACTLY like Chuck E Cheeses except they had live performances like at Disney World. But the point im getting to is that back in the 80s the Chuck E Cheeses and Bullwinkles were like 6 times larger than the Chuck E Cheese restaurants are today. Back then they were as big as Walmarts or Kmarts. The Old versions before the Super Walmarts came out. So about a quarter or close to half the size of a super Walmart. You could get lost in them. Bullwinkles had a dark glowing game room with a huge stage surrounded by a fountain where they would do performances. The Chuck E Cheeses was also huge but they split up there eating room from their performance and game room. So you would sit in one huge room eating pizza and watching the animatronics because they would be programmed with like 8 hours of constant songs and dialogue, talking to the crowd and whatnot, so you could sit in there all day and not hear the same thing twice, and then you would go into the game room. But in the late 90s and early 2000s they did away with the HUGE versions of both those restaurants and now they are both about the size of a large Pizza Hut. Well Actually i think Bullwinkle’s closed down years ago and only Chuck E Cheese is still around. But nothing like the original versions I saw in CA.

I'm confused by these characters listed as "Chuck E Cheese" robots. I'm 54 and when I was a kid here in Florida, our Chuck E Cheese didn't have any of these characters, but rather a Lion that played guitar and sang Elvis songs, and a female Hippo that played a keyboard in small offshoot dining areas, and then the main dining area show that featured a bird, purple monster, italian cook, a dog and Chuck E Cheese. The animatronics in this video were featured at a Chuck E Cheese competitor here called Showbiz Pizza Place. They were similar restaurants but definitely had different vibes from each other.

I wish companies didn’t destroy stuff. I know it’s probably a whole like image/copyright/ownership ect thing but it’s dumb. I feel like bigger companies could totally just auction off the stuff. Especially for companies that have fans who like to collect. I would kill to go to a Chuck E Cheese museum with full working animatronics and their histories. It’d be so cool if they had some construction information up like their blue prints or notes or something. The largest Chuck E Cheese has a disappointing lack of animatronics.
