Same here, '15 6sp, I got the premium with the PP and the leather recaro's. I would of never got a base model. The manual with the windows down and ripping gears, muffler delete and x-pipe. I just love it. It's a head turner every time.

Tbh it depends on what ur coming from. I got my 19 gt fully base at 19 years old and I love everything about it. idc if the seats aren’t leather or the nav isn’t nice, it has a 5.0 and a 10 speed which is all I care about!

I special ordered my automatic base model 2018 GT Mustang. I don't need a digital odometer, yet the base model comes with the option to select a digital reading. I don't need the performance package, since my GT will never see a race track. I requested cloth seats, so no need to warm the seats in the winter. This was my fourth base model GT I have purchased. Though I put down a hefty down payment, I enjoy my $200.00 monthly payments. All I wanted was 460 hp.

My GT is base model 6r80 and 3.55 gear , it is awesome , light, cheap, easy to mode, FBO , I miss some luxury but comparing it to my p71 it is like Mercedes 😂

The base is just boring. The interior and everything feels cheap (even that they are almost the same). I had a premium 18GT 10R80 GT and moved up to the Bullitt. Will never look back. Also when you go upgrading the dash and the cluster you will end up paying more than what it will cost you to move up to premium and 401A.

If you can, get it fully loaded with all the features. My 2017 Mustang GT 6 speed - god damn I love and miss that car - I got base model and little by little added features. Down the road I started having electrical problems. The computer stopped reading my keys, battery was being drained overnight, AND a whole lot of other problems. It was damn impossible to find the root of the problem - spent a lot of money and the couple shops I went to couldn’t find the problem. I ended up going to Ford and they wanted to charge several thousand to return it to stock. Traded it in and got me a fully loaded 2021 Tacoma TRD. Was done with all the problems. I love this truck and the only thing I’m probably ever going to do is a lift mod and a bed rack for a tent. Fully loaded is the way to go, so many things can go wrong with custom jobs. I miss my mustang so badly but I’ll get another one in the future. When I pay off this truck in 5 years I’ll be looking to get a fully loaded Mustang - and I’m sure by then the new model will be out!

Got my 19’ GT for 28.5k. The most base model vehicle. I don’t regret getting any packages because I have one of the best sets of coil overs, the exhaust setup I want and much more things I plan on doing that would have only been removed from the vehicle.

I purchased my base 2019 Mustang GT Race Red 6Spd Manual, w/ Quad Tips and painted rear spoiler brand new for $27,799 on new years Eve 2018/2019, as the dealer had all new Ford Mustangs marked down $10K !!!! I have a ‘18 GT, bought it used back in January with 18k miles. I absolutely love it. Don’t have any issues with it, and it’s pretty much a daily for me, I have a 98 ranger I drive too when I don’t want/can’t drive the mustang because of weather but this thing is bulletproof. My brother has a 2016 GT with over 70k miles on it and his is running like a champ too.

I love the active value thing, but wish I could set it and keep it set. I always have to change it. I got a base model 2019 the day before Thanksgiving (four days ago). I had a fully loaded Nissan Altima before. I honestly don't miss any of the bells and whistles. Got a close out for the year end and saved even more money. Wanted the 6 speed because reasons. Feels good to back in a Mustang! :)

I went with the base, 10R80 and 301a package. So i get the gps, all the toggle switches, etc. Everyone asked me why i didn't get any of the performance packs. For the exact reasons you said. Everything that comes with that package would have been taken off. So, the savings i got, i turned it into a supercharger and a few other mods. Car sits at 720+ whp now and daily drives no prob. The ONLY thing i wish i had was the led dash. But being in Canada, by the time it gets to me, probably end up costing me $2500-$3k. Rather spend that moneys on more go fast goodies lol.

You pay an extra 9-10k and get premium and performance package. The digital cluster and sync 3 system would be upwards of 5k. All the other things like big brakes would cost even more. The premium and performance package is worth it in my opinion.

This orange is def not a base model. It has the "black appearance pack", it has what look like the "performance packs" gauges in middle of dash clearly seen at the 0:51 sec mark. Just get a real base.model and save another $3k, plasti-dip the badges, wheels and rear spoiler. Or better yet get a 1SS. The SS has a much more refined, buttoned down 10R90 trans (inherited from the GM large SUV line), it also has something nice that the Mustang 5.0 10R80 does not have and that's "launch control".

373's and a manual is the way to go if you want to really have a ton of fun... Save the manual's... Look I know the DCT's are faster, no one is out shifting a DCT Period.. But for a weekend fun car nothing beats driving a manual.. It makes me feel 19 again, because that's all we drove when I was young coming out of high school in 1991.. The auto's were so bad back then.. We would lose almost a 150HP just in the Transfer Cases' from the 70's, 80's, and 90's.. My first car was a 1976 F250 390 Big Block, Headers' and flowmaster exhaust.. Kid's today have no Idea just how great they have it.. We used to change gearing and play with Carb jet's and crap like that to go fast.. there was no such thing as an OBD2 port or laptops back then... I know this makes me sound Old but it's just the way it was..

There's always those few 5-8% that get lucky and their csrs lives well on track. Same for high hp. 95% of vehicles made after 2005 are 80% maxed out under the hood in terms of safe horse power. That safe number with the 2018+ 5.0 for a daily driver not built is 600-650 crank hp.

I just ordered a 2022 Mustang GT Premium in manual. I got the 401a package and Recaro seats. Wish I could’ve got magneride without having to get the performance pack. Couldn’t justify spending an additional 8300 when all I wanted was magneride. I’ll end up putting coilovers, brembos, and maybe sway bars all for under 5k anyways.

2020 GT PP1, Rapid Red, premium, nav, A10, lowered on Ford Performance street springs, Ford Performance Cold Air and Calibration kit. The calibration kit adds 42 ftlb @ 2000 rpm and + 19hp/+20 ftlb for the whole curve. The car is a rocket. The A10 is legit! I've had Bimmers, Vettes, Audi...the 'Stang is better than all of them!

I paid $33k OTD for my brand new 18 GT Base model. All I need is the same engine and transmission. Everything else will get swapped out. I have never kept a car stock and learned a very long time ago, to stick with base models. S550s are starting to be a huge bargain if you’re patient and look for the right one. I got a fully loaded 2016 premium performance pack with borla attaks on it already for 25,000. Basically brand new only had 8,000 miles. Be patient and look around if you’re looking to buy one !

Got the performance package..but i removed the b@o stereo.. Put a full screen, 8 inch double din. With digital television over 164 Channels where i live with an indoor digital antenna plus an MMATS amplifier and 15 inch juggernaut bypassed stock amps and rewired everything.reset the engine disabled code Now all i need is some sports to watch!

This is not how you do it Zander. You can find a used 18 GT AUTO base model with under 7k miles for under 27k. Or 2019 GT auto for under $31k with 2-4k miles on it. That is the way to do it.

@@Zander13Productions In 2017 i bought my 2015 GT convertible 6MT for $32900 with 2500 miles on it. Car was purchused by original owner in 2016. So i had 2 years left on a warranty as well. Sticker price was 47k in 2015. I have 25k miles on it now and i rock a sleeper kit on it too, with ballbearing turbos. I put about 2 cars on a stock hellcats 60-120 6-7 psi. I can see you put busses on a stock hellcat now. Welcome to TT world!

If I am just looking to build a race car then yeah base model. But as a daily driver and only car I had to at least get the 301a package. I use sync 3 almost all the time for navigation and music.

You brought a car to get maximum enjoyment. You then decide to pursue a top fuel drag car. The other issue is ford has non compatible packages and won't let you truly pick what you want. Good luck in your pursuit. i won't be stripping down my 2020 mustang gt pp1 fully loaded, heated and cooled seats. I will switch to a 3.15 rear gear and add suspension, chassis and drivetrain upgrades to make it a better driver. add intake ,supercharger and exhaust to create my version of perfection. i just wish we could get a power sunroof.Oh, my exhaust will be as quiet as i can make it because i crave a silent but deadly approach. This is how i want to drive across the country...

I got a 2020 premium with the pp1 and I love it. I got the 9 speaker system and I personally think the 12 speaker system is not worth the extra 1200 dollars.

2020s are cool, but honestly going from an 06GT I’ll go ahead and get a used 2018 A10, maybe with a few whistles and pay around $29,000+ from what I’ve seen. I’m dragging my feet bc I want to know what’s up with that engine tick!! If that is a “normal” thing or if some of these won’t make it to 100k miles

The Coyote tick is a real thing. Though mostly it’s just part of the engines natural sound. I’ve heard of coyotes going to 200k with proper maintenance and not being hammered on daily. My Gen 1 only lasted 125k and had engine failure. I bought it at 110k, so I don’t know how it was treated beforehand. Used car market is bonkers right now though, so you’ll pay a premium for a pony. Try to find one with low miles and maintenance records.

They are all nice. I bet you miss driving yours. Your race car should be different than your daily driver. My 11 second daily is fine for my 80 mile a day drive.I have a premium 2019 pp1 A10 loaded and smile every mile I drive. Speeda H pipe and no regrets. 11000 miles and $11000 depreciation. I wonder how many 2020 Cobra daily drivers will be around.

The digital dash is like 3 grand if you install it afterwards! I'm not sure your saving any money by going that route! Trust me you want the digital dash as it makes the driving experience so much better! Now leather seats and all the nanny features are not needed and you will soon discover are a pain in the ass! Lol!!

Sorry I can't agree with this. I ordered mine fully loaded with every available option..... almost. But I have no regrets and love every part of it. Now it is a 20' and I have only had it for a little over a month now. But I didn't want to have to add stuff I could've gotten right away. This way the mods I do will be on my time line and what I want. Not having to do things right away just to be happy with it. Anyone interested can follow my build on my channel.

Not worth the money new, just look at low mileage single owner Mustangs. I bought my 14 GT/CS for $28k @ 2.9% in 2015 with 9K miles, I believe it was $39k new. It came with the Ford Racing handling pack, Flowmasters, and the Ford Racing tuner and the tune not installed and all the original parts. I've since installed an aluminum one piece drive shaft. Oh yeah, paid it off in 30 months.
