My 2018 Mustang GT project has been a quick but interesting venture! I bought the car back in 2019 and after 15,000 more miles it's time for another update! Today we discuss my thoughts on owning my first S550 Mustang while also doing a recap on the Mustang build, its modifications, and my gripes with the car. So is the Mustang GT S550 right for you? "Because it's easy" Inexpensive, stylish, great motor, and maintenance is easy... I absolutely love the S550. I've previously had a 2013 Camaro 1SS and a 2016 Camaro 2SS, and currently own a 2015 Mustang GT/PPack with the Roush blower (Phase 1). I can safely and confidently say that these new-age American Pony Cars are some of the easiest and most awesome cars you can own, especially for how relatively inexpensive they are for their performance! I've had this car for almost four years now, and getting into it STILL feels the same as when it did when I got to test drive it! Now, if they could just fix the issues with the 2018+ six-speed manuals, that'd be SO MUCH nicer!

From having a 2018 GT350 and now having a 2021 GT premium, I would say the gt350 was raw and unique, but..... the gt is much better all around, and I absolutely love driving it daily. Note, I also went with the 10r80 and couldnt be happier!

Gt350 loves to hydroplane and tramline a lot, sadly 2 friends lost their 350s in an accident to rain and one had a dash cam going 50mph in a straight line, car rear end just randomly spun out. It can happen in the GT too tho

I have a 2020 with a manual, same color as yours. Ford luckily beefed up the trans again in 2019, and added auto rev matching. It's actually really nice to drive! It will get blown out of the water by an A10 car, but for a daily driver I really enjoy it. Ripping shifts at 7500RPM never gets old :)

I have a gen 3, and I love it. I opted for the manual, as I already have an auto for a daily, but I agree that the 10r80 mated to the gen 3 coyote is an amazing platform. It's def a cheat code for a solid build. I would keep the car white, it's unique and all the lines and accents pop.

Ive got a used 2019 Mustang GT that I got 8 months ago. I daily drive it and have put 30k miles on it so far bringing to to just about 50k miles. I love it! Ive done some styling mods and currently plan to stay NA and going to track it. Ive got a cold air intake with a pump gas tune. Catless long tubes with a h pipe and roush axelbacks. Currently have the Steeda stop the hop kit and Steed strut brace ordered but they’re on back order.

I really appreciate that little tangent in the second half of the video. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, or if there's a "stigma" about the car, all that matters is that *you* enjoy it. I have a "17 Honda Accord Coupe V6 (along with 2 other Hondas) and I love it to bits. People give me crap occasionally because it's AT but I couldn't find a manual, and I don't really regret getting the auto anyways. Good thing we don't buy or build cars for anyone else 👍 PS keep it white!

I got an 8th gen i4 AT as my first car and I love it like crazy. A surprising amount of people ask me why I like it so much and why I got it, but being that I fell in love with the looks when I first saw it and just enjoy all the little and big things it does is all I care about. Though I do wish they had a bigger aftermarket, this car is great. And they should bring back the coupes, I imagine a 10th gen coupe would look amazing.

Its all about what you enjoy. I love my little miata, and I thought I would be like you before I bought it. There was a limited edition mica blue that was an absolute stunner, but the auto in that thing was not my cup of tea. My one now is silver which isn't my favorite oem color but I'm happy. And I love the way it feels rolling through the gears

"The 2018 and up S550s especially have really weak manual transmissions" - guess that's why I've been able to launch my twin turbo 2019 GT on stock clutch and trans at 13psi dozens of times with no issue on grind or lockout. It's so tempting to buy into the gear mongering narrative arrive the MT-82, and I was guilty of it when I first went about building my GT. However, 7k miles and a full year of every other day driving with my TT setup and HARD driving/launches has led me to look at the instances of MT-82s 'exploding' or failing and when you look at the % that fail vs those that haven't, it's not even close to as bad as these guys try to paint it just to make themselves feel better about their choice to either swap out the MT-82 or go for the 10 spd. I don't have anything against either going for a t56/tr6060 swap or the autos, just don't act like the MT-82 is hot garbage to justify your preference over the former when it's not true.

I'm turning 17 in a few months, the first ever mustang that I saw was back in 2012 when the face lifted mustang was released, I was 5 years old. And still, to this day, its still one of my dream cars. This 2018 is such a beautiful car!

As a 16 year old kid, I had a 72 Ford that my dad gave me & it had a 390 bored to a 428 & hooker headers & a race cam.. course it was only 425 hp.. back in the mid 90s that was alot.. but I can't imagine if someone put that on a stang!! Your stang could probably kill my old pickup, it could do high 11 or low 12. It's funny, I never liked to race it, because I figured why tear it up or risk wrecking it when I knew what it can do. I do miss that sound when it was idling & that sound when I down gear (music to my ears) ❤❤❤❤❤💯 plus lol it didn't have power steering.. & I didn't think anything bout it, still loved it, now omg no power steering would kill my arms lol. #StayBlessed

@@diior3224 GT is slightly faster on the top end the SS gets out of the hole quicker due to the torque advantage but the GT usually always pulls but that’s if you have enough road. stop light to stop light they are pretty much identical now around a track the 1LE will eat a regular GT alive they can even bully gt350’s M3/4 and even C8’s and some older Porsche’s SS1Le is a hell of a car.

Keep it white. 35% tint. I was a skeptic of going 10 speed on my 2.0t Accord until I drove it. Automatics are so much better than they used to be. However, you can't beat the enjoyment of a good manual transmission hooked up to a fun engine.

Thing about buying something brand new is that in 2 years the brand new will have so much more in technology. I bought a brand new 2019 road glide special. Added TAB Zombie stage 1, fat bagger 16" bars, and a 6 speaker Rockford fosgate sound system, and a couple of other things. Well now the 2021 is coming with Rockford fosgate, better paint schemes to choose from, the harmen karden interface deck has more options.

I've had my 18 GT PP1 for just over 2 years now and couldn't be happier. It's a good looking, fun and easy to live with car. The A10 makes the car genuinely fast and easy to daily. I have Oxford White also and I've grown to like the color with the black wheels and blacked out badges. I plan to have the roof wrapped gloss black and probably won't do anything else, visually. If you decide to go with blue, I'd do a darker blue since you already have a lighter blue car. A dark metallic blue would probably look good with those wheels.

I'm just an old Boomer with a 2005 Torch Red GT coupe. Nothing special, 4.6l SOHC, auto. I bought it when it was 10 years old and had 41K miles on it. After I finally got the seat adjusted comfortably, it's a blast to drive! Even with all stock suspension, I've never found the limit - it just feels neutral all the time. Plus, like TDIB, I love the looks of it even if it is 16 years old.

Mustangs are the shiznitz bro!, used to drive a fox with 3 different colors gutted interior single turbo stock block 8lbs under a stock hood no scoops. The cliche big hood scoop cars always knew better than to provoke me into a stop light race. That fox kicked the baheejeez out of cars costing way more than the 1500. spent on the car and the 2800$ ebay turbo kit. Mustang is king of affordable speed. Without a doubt.

I work a very particular job that allows me to drive practically every car ( you commonly see on the street ) and that is not an exaggeration. The new mustang is hands down amazing! Automatic, manual, turbo 4 cylinder, V8! All amazing. The turbo 4 cylinder handles like a European sports car and honestly pulls HARD! The V8 it's just this insane beast that will stay flat in corners pulls hard as f*** and sounds amazing!

I drive a 19 5.0 and I agree with you, drove it for a little over a year, and I am not afraid of ripping it, I'm on just some sporty all season tires, not like 888r or sport 4s tires and I rip it no problem. The people who spin out in spectacular fashion and cause the mustang stigma just seem like they don't know what they're doing so I am not afraid, I drive my car great and I love it and if someone says wait till you crash it into a crowd I just will have to prove them wrong.

If you want my opinion, keep the white. You already have the special dash representing all the colors of your cars, and the white is just so nice and clean, it's a contrast to your more wildly custom colored cars.

I used to own 08 GT m/t and loved it , yes she spun very easily and always got the crowd killer look but if you know how to drive fast cars no problem never had an accident but then I fell in love with Honda’s lol

The Ranger trucks have the same problem where the manual transmission is not very strong , but the 5 speed auto is way stronger than it needs to be .

It’s little bit late but I recently also have gotten mice in my s550 and found the same insulation around my manifold. They must love the heat from the coyote. Spray down the engine bay with some peppermint oil and that should solve your problem. Also thanks for being my favorite KZbinr for many years now!
