can you do a video with a breakdown of the dealer fees and your insurance payment? i’m trying to get a car but im scared about the insurance price🥲

@@mariavasquez8634 dealership fees🙄 they really wasn’t trying to budge on it which was soo annoying🙄 it was $899 to be exact lol. I pay $260 for insurance. I didn’t know that was “high” but I’m not surprised because this is my first car & I’m not under anyone (parent/partner/friend) so without any prior driving history I couldn’t really complain. Your situation may be different tho! Good luck! Just budget & you should be fine!

Never show your source of money, you can say I’m undecided on financing until I see your rates and fees in writing from your finance manager,also do your homework, tell them what you’ll pay including tax tag and fees out the door and make them show you a signed purchase order ( confirm the vin # of the car you want to buy is the same in the buyers order/contract. Are a pic of the signed buyers/purchase order with your phone) When you get to the finance office, ask about rates and then say I can’t afford that and pay cash ( check or card) or finance what you need but negotiate the rate. Ask the finance manager what their “buy rate” is. Only agree to the buy rate (lower finance rate) . Stay strong and don’t be afraid to walk out. And have your friend casually remark in front of the salesman and finance manager “let’s just go to _________(name another dealership) “ pretend to go to consider going to another dealership.. that will make the sales people cave in faster. @MickeyyS.7 Yes sadly, I had got it brand new & it's not even a year old. It's in service for possibly 6 months, hopefully I can work something out.

Congrats gurl! That's a great car! What was the sales price of the car? Did you try negotiating the price down? From what you wrote in another comment, you paid 31k out the door (7k down and $400 a month for 60 months) but that includes the loan interest

Thank youu! I don’t recall the price and honestly I did, but not well apparently lol because they still “got me”. I definitely recommend going with someone who actually knows their stuff but that wasn’t an option for me. Orrrr just be financially ready to have a car note

@@dell9067 thank youu! I think I did $7k down payment & my monthly is $400. My insurance is $260. But I don’t know your situation it could be less/more. I most probably got finessed at the dealership lol so maybeee my monthly could’ve been lower. In terms of insurance this is my first car and I’m not under anyone (a parent/friend) soo without any prior driving history that’s what it is.

How long of a credit history did you have? Also how long did you finance the car for? I am also considering getting a Toyota but am curious upon how long of a credit history is good for the dealership to even consider financing a car to someone?

Do you have the stick the key in the ignition to start the vehicle you bought?

@@MickeyyS.7 As a visually impared viewer I'd much rather stick the key in the ignition than push the button to start. The ignition key is more interesting, I know the push to start is convenient but I enjoy twisting the keyoung in the ignition.
