This is another aspect of slowness I see in Canada vs US. I purchased a car recently and it took 1 week for the whole process to complete whereas in the US you will walk out of the showroom with the car the same day because all the bank work happens online within minutes.

You can save dealer fees by simply bypassing them and paying off your residual value of your car directly to Honda finance. The only drawback is that you'll have to take care of the car registration part yourself by going to service Ontario location.

Nothing manufacturing here Even my experience says people don’t get into their own field most people change their field because of the market demand is always different

Don’t be mislead, there are plenty of opportunities in manufacturing if you have the right attitude and qualifications . I came here on a PR in June 2019 and I previously had experience in Production supervision and as a quality technician. After initially working as a manufacturing technician(assembling electronic devices) I later managed to crack and interview in another company and get a job as a supervisor. Ever Since the pandemic broke out my role has changed and I’m now working as a manufacturing process engineer. Depending on your role you may or may not need to have yourself certified here. For jobs like electrical maintenance in industries you need a certification over here before working as one( u could do an apprenticeship). My role has been in production/quality and process so usually companies need lean six sigma as a certification(added benefit) but I don’t have any although I did have experience of working in a lean six sigma environment. If u r looking for a process engineer job u may need autocad but then again not a necessity(it will give you an edge). Bottom line is if u have the right attitude and the basic qualifications (an engineering/ science degree) and crack the interview u can get a job in this sector. I stuck to my strengths and didn’t divert my career to another(I know many change their role here since they can’t find jobs). Hope this helps

The guy knows nothing about cars. Battery does not reduce fuel economy, there is an electric motor that is run by battery and that runs the car at low speed,hence saving gas.

Hi Ravish, can you also make a video especially for people immigrating from the US? Like what are the basic differences that you experienced ? Work environment, raising family, schools, child care etc and what were the problems that you encountered, if any? For me, I am looking into buying a car and the most shocking fact for me so far is car insurance which is so different than US. its not just halton honda, all dealerships are the same... they actually charged me the least. others were asking $600 including all fees.

My Honda finance application stuck at that dealership for 1 month, after calling honda finance and raising complaints, they come into action and clear all paper work in 1 day without visiting 😅 and now finally getting delivery next week, the finance guys are lazy or what at Halton honda I don’t know! Other dealerships are at least quick to dispatch the car if all client side documents are ready (Milton and Oakville Honda 👍🏻)
