We've rented from CA three times for a week each (hunting camp). Good basic motorhomes without a slide which has pros and cons. The rear storage in the 28 footer is huge. Invest in larger house batteries and solar if you boondock at all. Safe travels. Thanks for posting.

I believe they have a partial cost of rent-toward purchase plan -- check into it if you are interested in owning since rentals add up!

Bought mine in Salt Lake Cruise America in 2010 2004 23U 98000 miles on it. I won't lye there have been some miner problems and new tires put Uniroyal on softer ride but now have 155000 on it and will be traveling more next year.

Yaaaaaaay! Congratulations! We had minor problems with our tires too. We have had to replace 2 already. And our spare tire was almost bald =(

Just contacted Cruise America today (via internet chat) about purchasing an RV from them. Would be great if you could/would do follow up video(s) on how your RV is holding out; any problems with it and if so was it covered with the warranty(s) you purchased. I am always a bit wary of high mileage vehicles.

Sort of. They had a pretty firm base price. We got things added to the RV though, which increased the price (e.g. an awning). I'm sure if you have pretty good negotiating skills you may be able to have them drop the price some. Thanks for watching and commenting! We really appreciate it! =)

Just backed out of my CA purchase today Seems all they do is paint them to hide any imperfections. More or less a "polished turd" Painting them hides imperfections & subpar repairs performed to the coach during its service life. They have no actual mechanics or RV technicians work on these,. The are essentially low wage lube techs who can change oil. The inside of the coach I was going to by had about 25 things missed during "THEIR EXTENSIVE 110 point inspection" including -a leaky gray water tank -broken window, -dangling connectors, and -rips in the upholstery, -bottom of closet falling out, -numerous missing screws for windows & trim, -crack in the shower pan.............. "refurbished" is not what they do. Seems highly deceptive to naive buyers who do not know what to look for and DO NOT have the time to inspect every thing, because they are trusting that Cruise America is doing this for them.... VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY EXPERIENCE AT CRUISE AMERICA SALES BUYER BEWARE!!! DO YOUR HOME WORK LOOK OVER THOROUGHLY COME BACK MULTIPLE TIMES & GET A PRO INSPECTION

I bought a 2018 Thor Majestic 28a. It's well worth it. The warranties are definitely good to get. They give you peace of mind and they cover pretty much everything.

We totally understand that reservation. That was DEFINITELY one of our concerns as well. We wanted to be sure we would be covered if anything were to arise so we got the warranty as well. So far we haven't had any issues, Thank God!

Rental vehicles are divested (sold) at the age and mileage where they become a financial liability for the rental company. Why would you buy someone else's liability?

Hi! We got coverage for our RV. Also, we did not have money for a brand new RV. They run over 100,000 dollars. New RVs also break down faster and have a greater depreciation once you drive it off the lot. We don't have the privilege of having access to that money. So we did what we could with the little we had. 😊

Also, all vehicles are technically liabilities, not assets. So we understand the risk, but we calculated, prayed and did the best we could.

We love our 2016 23a. Drove from California to Niagara Falls Canada and back. Added the rv garmin and the backup camera that goes with it. All that's left to do is decorate.

Another thing is that their rentals usually have more "features" that the other basic RVs do not have.Also, they are regularly checked, cleaned and serviced -and- they are built to withstand the abuses of rentals. Also, ask them if there is a partial credit of rental cost toward purchase -- can't hurt.

@@TheAdventuresofFoxMiles Yes they do, If you have to go to a different city to buy what you want, and if you end up buying they will pay $300 towards your airfare. They do have a good prices as they don't need to gouge as the company already made their money on the rentals.
