Just got my PSVR and everything works the way it should be. Now about taking a break from VR, I realized that Sony may not have think about one tiny detail, that is to be able to tell time. In a regular video game session I am able to turn around to look at my clock. But inside the VR there is no way to do so for obvious reason. I guess the best way for now is to set up an alarm of some kind.

The only problem is you recommend buying the Launch Bundle. If you did not get it day 1 you are pretty much out of luck. Nobody has them in stock and most do not know if they are getting anymore.

Also, if you get the bundle, you should also get a separate charging station or USB splitter for the Move controllers. Like he said, the PSVR uses one USB when it's being used And trailers and gameplay videos really don't do the games justice. Play the demo first was probably the best bit of advice here. Standing games like Job simulator need a clear space of 6ft by 6ft (minimum), but sitting games like most of the others don't need any more space than a non-VR game to play besides the ability to turn around.

Psvr is a fantastic and affordable doorway to the platform. I love it. I honestly have a difficult time flatscreen gaming in comparison. If you already have the ps4, I would totally recommend picking up the addition. Some of the best games are $40 or less

Just wanted to add, so far, there's no fix for the PS4 Pro owners who want to get HDR+, the PSVR does not have a pass through to support HDMI 2.2. The current work around from the AVS website recommendation was to use a coupler, simply unplug both plugs and plug it into the coupler when not using PSVR, replug into the PSVR box if you want to play PSVR.

You can also use it as an extra tv. Just plug in a headset and you can play games or watch hulu or something while someone else watches tv on the screen. Pretty cool

Metroid Prime in VR is the only VR title I had no need to take any break whatsoever. Imagine that; a game that was never designed for VR doing many things devs say you can't do or is hard to do no problem. I played through the whole game with no fatigue whats so ever in one sitting no breaks. I did have to get my position physically right first though. Before I learned how to do that it did make me a little sick. I figured out to launch the game from a crouched position then site up and move in and out until the cannon arm was aligned with my shoulder. After that all was perfect. The most comfortable VR experience that using stationary locomotion that I have experienced to date. I used Dolphin VR emulator with the Oculus Rift Playing the GameCube version of Prime original.

Also the camera v2 is a pain in the ass to use without a mount so if you get one off ebay get one with a mount I used a coat hanger wire to hold mine to the top of my monitor

I could only play static games at first and couldn't handle games like farpoint,dirt rally and doom Because of this I hadn't used it for several months. That all changed when firewall came out for some reason,maybe to do with communicating with team mates taking my mind off it. I can now do a 6-7 hour session with no problems.

These are some good tips, but coming into 2019 VR hasn't really matured yet. I have played PSVR and on the Occulus Rift and while quite impressive the games still feel like technical demos. This still feels like first gen VR and it may take until 2nd gen for the games to really be good. There are some okay games, but they are the exception. Most players I know with VR say they don't really play using it very often.

Guys I just want to know something, how does the angle of view feels? I know the specs say it's like 110 or something, but what I want to know is, when put that thing on, is it also like covering the sides of your eyes? your peripherals? or is it like for example Google Card Box or Samsung gear or even the old Sony 3D glasses on PS3? with all those inferior experiences, it's like a screen in front of you, and you can still see a black frame around it with your peripherals. But how about PS VR? I'd like to buy one but this is crucial deciding factor for me. Don't ask me to go and try it because where I live there're none that I can try!

The problem with VR porn or really any VR video of 180 360 video is scale. Resolution is often a problem too but scale is a big problem even if software has some settings you can tweak. Many games have a problem with scale too. In EVE Valkyrie my stomach is in my avatar's neck and my avatar body is so tiny. Scale is difficult even with all the options to help with it. For me it probably the area in VR that needs the most improvement on how to do it right.

VR is totally amazing. But the price totally kept me away from buying it. The Ps4 pro cost me 400€. Then the VR was about 400€ as well. WTF?! So I denied buying this. But then, the launch bundle came out in germany for 379€ including the camera, VR worlds and the two motion sticks. Saved me a lot of money, though. So, now I am a VR player. Sad thing to say... there are no really big games made for the VR right now, except for GT VR, Resident Evil 7 and Skyrim VR. Every other games just seem to be mini games. Bought Batman Arkham VR, thought it will be a big game... but it ends after 4 chapters... ÔÔ WTF?!?! About motion sickness... I really got a stable stomach. Drove the badest rollercosters on this planet, not afraid of heights or something... but this one battle game, where you sit inside a little spaceship and can move totally 360° (two aliens are sitting on a couch during the tutorial) ... well ... after a few loops and rolls, my stomach did not remember if it's up or down. Had to stop playing after a few minutes. Kinda embaressing! -.- But I must say... best games I played are on VR Worlds. "The Heist" is a real blast! Hope there will be a whole game of it someday! Funny moments on using VR for the first time: - First time I played "The Heist" and tried to smoke that cigar... I had to cough! Ô.ô (I am a non smoker!) Everybody around me was laughing about it. - Same scene, I put the glowing end of the cigar on the back of my right hand... virtually... and I felt the heat! Weird shit! - My stepdad was laughing and joking as my mom went down the sea inside that cage meeting with that badass shark in VR Worlds... but he nearly shit his pants as he went down with the VR on! Hilarious!!! xD - The guy who showed me VR the first time, send me down to playing "The Heist". In the scene, where you sit in that van with this bold muscle guy, I changed the radio station and turned up the volume. He didn't even known that this is possible. As my girlfriend tried this game, she opened the door and looked back. He didn't know that's possible, either. xD Then, as I got my own VR and let the boyfried of my girls sister play this game, he turned on the ventilation. None of us came up with this idea. - My girl never ever played video games at all... except for some old racing games in the past. First time on "The Heist" on that car chasing scene, she was picking up the UZI's ammo cardridges from the bag between the seats and reloading without looking down. Always a fresh ammo cardrige in her hand to reload. She seemed kinda skilled on shooting. I was impressed! :-O - My girl is professional Kart Racer with several hundred won cups! She is a sporty driver, too. Always driving the ideal line, cutting any curve, always foot on the gas. But she bought Dirt VR to drive Ralley again, and she gets sick of it after every run. xD Weird stuff! I love that VR so far. But I really hope there will be a few good games in the future!

I read it all...I'm also from the US. The game with the aliens is Star Blood Arena. It was actually one of the first games I played besides the demo ones. I saw it on the demo disk, played that for a day, then got the real thing when it went on sale (right before free for ps+). The most I'd get was butterflies, but I'd have to do insane flips to feel that. I guess I've been playing with the Gear VR so it gave me my VR legs? But once you get over that, it's really fun. I had no issues, but my nephew did, and so did a friend. I'm going to have to see if anyone else can play it...but they'll have to learn the controls...if they didn't, I'd totally have my mom try. Haha, should have seen her doing rollercoasters in my gear vr. Lol screaming her head off! TLDR: game you didn't know the name for was Star Blood Arena. Fun game once you get your VR legs. If you have ps+ get it while it's free, get your VR legs later.
