I think that when you were pulling the drill up and out and starting the next one you were moving faster than with the 8 and 4 max output. But even then I like lighter batteries and your highway analogy is spot on. If I were using a drill bit that big I would probably be using a corded drill if I had to make a lot of holes. But if I had only a few holes for a quick project then I would pull out the cordless drill.

I’m currently using the non hammer brushed ridged 18 volt cordless drill for that and my m12 fuel 3gen Milwaukee hammer drill as my light weight drill to get into tight spaces and not be a brick on my hip. Though my Milwaukee doesn’t like doing anything above a 1/2 inch holes without heating up after three holes being drilled?

Did you compare the weight? I may have missed it.

Am I correct that different brands get their battery cells from the same manufacturer but add their housing in a different facility?
@VCGConstruction3 ай бұрын
Yes, they’re are a few cell manufacturers that everyone buys. What makes the difference is the quality of cells and how the cells are matched when assembling the packs.

Have both from RIDGID and RYOBI and they both can Equal and beat the BIGGER 8 amp 21700 batteries

Got any suggestions? I’m investing in Milwaukee m12 for my little stuff and m18 for anything bigger but the m18 version of my m12 is big and heavy and I can’t seem to find other good options.
@JasonMitchell-sm6kj3 ай бұрын
Hey Vince what’s your favorite drill that works well and doesn’t heat up so much. I can’t seem to find a light weight one that meets my needs but also has the power to use 3 inch hole saws.

@@JasonMitchell-sm6kj try a lineman drill from Milwaukee. It's got power

Apparently lithium power tool batteries are causing house fires in flooded homes in Florida after the storm. I saw an official who was interviewed and he said it was a big problem when they come in contact with the salt water.

Why can't we push Milwaukee, Ryobi and Ridgid to just futurly only use Milwaukee batteries?? If we had 1 batterie style click in then people would be more interested in buying 1 quality level vs the other but always have a premium power source.
@theone-ou3gd3 ай бұрын
Because they are there own brands and milwaukee is professional they would have to charge more on batteries alone and ryobi doesnt aim pro
