Exactly, I use a 79 dollar usb dynamic mic with a 50-60 dollar arm and if I just tweak the settings a tiny bit it sounds the same as a shure sm7b (the mic is the fifine k688 btw)

@@xav1er_01 well I personally use a software called voicemod that allows you to make your mic sound better by using some simple equalization, but if you’re using it with an xlr cable, I recommend the maono caster e2 because it allows you to customize the sound of the mic in many ways, including making it sound better

Pretty normal for microphones to be a bit pricey but there is cheaper alternatives that are just as good. Like the at2020 usb or the Samsun q2u. Both sound good, are usb, and easy to setup. Just gotta plug them in. It really all depends on what you use it for, I would say doing KZbin or Streaming its not as important what equipment you have. On the other hand in a studio, different mics record different things and have different uses. So it really just depends.

I have a 60 usd mic, no audio interface nothing, it sounds pretty similar tho it does catch some audio sometimes from behind me, still pretty good if u have a quite room, and by just some audio effects it sounds really good, so if u dont have a huge budget, just get a sudotack, maono mic which sounds reallly good, i use the maono au ao4, but i'll recommend getting a newer mic for better audio

Shure sells a usb one to avoid having an interface if ur not audio savvy. I also avoid scarlet like the plague have 6 broken ones in my closet. Used in live a lot…. If u buy an interface get a uad, rme, apogee, motu, antelope. Some are even cheaper then scarlets . As for mics a shotgun mic suits you more since you dont always want a mic in your face while gaming. If the mic youbhave required 48v also buy a cloudlifter or else you’ll have mic gain issues and inconsistency in volume.

I have a built in mic on my gaming laptop (acer nitro 5) the mic is ok for discord and online games and you can go pretty far away from the computer for it not to hear you but when I stream on twitch the audio is bad and cuts out and when I plug in my headset the microphone isn’t visible on the sources but the power of the laptop is very good even on cloud game and it’s not exactly a new computer, but if you ever are considering getting this laptop for stream if you move around a lot this is a good option but I recommend getting a usb microphone not a microphone that plugs in with a headphone jack and some things i don’t like about it is that the Ethernet plug is upside down so you have to lift the computer up to unplug it and I also don’t like that it doesn’t have a built in sd card Reader do you have to buy an adapter to use one and i also don’t like how it doesn’t have a computer screen plug instead it has a hdmi and the only other option is a wireless screen
