Get a High CFM Electric Fan that pulls air not pushes. Then install them on the door then you can remove that mechanical one that doesnt cool hardly at all. I would get one for the top rad and a smaller set of 2 for the other small rad then drop in a couple temp relays and fuses. That will solve your heat issues. One thing I did to my old school Skid steer I found on a Farm and rescued was I removed the head liner built a frame and installed 4 computer server fans they come in a quad setup. You want to talk about staying pretty cool in the cab.... Total Life saver. Anyways Liking the new Skid Steer and content. Paint that thing Tonks Orange and Blue.

You got that little machine humming like a beauty, well done. As your skills improve you will be able to extend its capability. There’s no two ways about it, without your tenacity that little machine was destined for the scrap yard. I think you will be a good team and that yard of yours will wonder what the heck hit it. Love that the first thing you do on your jobs is hit them with the power cleaner and secondly that you replace suspect hp oil lines before putting it to use. Pat on the back, that was an awesome job

Wonderful video Darrell. I think those valve caps are to assist in axial rotation of the valves so that they wear evenly. Some engines only have them on the exhaust valves because of the increased chance of burning an exhaust valve over an intake valve. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Your skillset is amazing. Kind Regards, Craig

My dad had rockers that came loose like that in a 396 once. Couldn't figure out why they continually worked their way loose. Turns out the new oil pump he installed was bad right out of the box. No lubrication across the lobes of the cam cause the lifters to all wear down, creating bigger and bigger gaps across the valves. When he pulled the lifters and lined them up next to each other they looked like a bar graph. The main difference between his situation and yours would probably be that there were plenty of shavings in the pan.

Did you ever figure out why tho two throttle leavers? The one that screws in and out with the button on the end is to set the throttle at a specific RPM, to set high ideal. Turn out to raise RPM turn in to lower RPM. Pushing button is quick release and bypasses turning, push button in and shove in, throttle should go back to ideal. The flapper valve like a chock should be an emergency air cutoff. The leaver 🤷 me no know ?

Hey great 2nd vid. Sounds good now but your running it at like 1/2 throttle or less from sounds of it. My SDK has way more power at wide open throttle and the hydros quiet down too.
@TheHomePros62212 жыл бұрын
You are completely correct I was only about 1/2 throttle. The hydros are super loud and winey on this thing is that normal? They work good but just sounds bad
@starionslider21162 жыл бұрын
@@TheHomePros6221 at low engine speed they do whine but at full throttle my lift functions are quiet but the drives do have a slight whine. I think mines normal for a 80’s machine. I have heard that there is a hydro screen filter on the pickup tube somewhere either in the tank or the fitting from tank but i have not looked much on mine because it works great. I have heard other SDK owners mention something about it making it function quicker and cut down on whine. The service manual states full lift cycle times in seconds also. Mine was only slightly slower than spec and for all i use it for (rarely) its fine.

It will actually run cooler and is better for the engine near full throttle

Fuel shutoff solenoids are so cheap, like 13 bucks or so. A couple of wires and it activates a plunger and pulls the fuel away from the pump. shuts it off.
