Buying The Cheapest WaveRunners Off Marketplace!

New to the world of Jet Ski’s I went out on a search to find some cheap Ski’s. Not caring about turning a wrench I went to the lower dollar ones that needed some work. I found these 20 minutes down the road. They were sitting for a while. I didn’t get much of a story just something like (the one I got running) is the better of the two and they are 3/4 full of old gas ☹

I didn’t buy any parts except the spark plugs!

Hey I need your help man I’ve got the same ski 2 years newer. It will slowly turn over then click out. Brand new battery the carb is new. Seem like there isn’t any power getting to the motor. Starter solenoid or what do you think?

I have the same model. Mine starts up ok. When I go to rev it. It barley moves and bogs out any idea? When I opened the engine compartment I notice there was water and smoke inside. Any help?

Hey man, I gotta question if you would be willing to answer. I bought a '94 Waverunner 3 about 2 weeks ago. I had it in the water the other day. Seems to be running great, it starts right up no issue, will warm up nicely, then out of nowhere about 10 mins into the ride, when the throttle is at 3/4 - full, it'll just slow down to a complete stop and shut off. It'll start back up every time after that, but then if I give it throttle, it wont pick up speed it just kind of "chugs" and tries to shut off again. Does that sound like a fuel line issue? The guy I bought it from had the carb worked on 2 years ago, but has never had the fuel lines changed. The hull is completely dry, and nothing "underneath" seems to be getting wet. The owner also claims very low hour ski, (even tho these have no hour meter), but from looking underneath, I would agree because the engine as well as everything else, including the wiring, looks really clean for the age of ski. It was garage kept but the guy hadn't ridden it since last season. I am new to being a pwc owner and would appreciate any information you could provide. Thank you so much, great video!

Hey man I’m going through the same issue! I think I have found the problem. The overheating sensor might be bad and putting the ski in “limp mode”. Open up the electrical box and disconnect It. @@bernielomax4859 I actually havent tried disconnecting the overheating sensor yet, however, I threw a fresh set of plugs in and ran some engine stabilizer through so I think it might have just needed a clean w/ a fresh set of plugs. It runs no issue now.

Just saw your vidieo by chance i need gun whale bumpers for my 94vxr 650 yam.saw that urs was cracked as well.did you find a way to refurbish them.dealer told me no longer available for that yr.but someone must be able to crank out new plastic on those 3d printers.but also maybe just a newer machine with similiar trim.?snookie pA.

Did you do an oil change on it. Basically same way of taking the gas out? I just got one of these I’m thinking it needs gas and oil change. And what oil would you recommend for this Waverunner? Thanks. Great vid btw also where do I put the hose so I can run it out of the water? Thanks

This came with a waverunner flush hose kit and then it hooks up to the front of the cylinder.

Hey man, I have the same ski. It has been sitting and seems to be seized up. We’re these seized at all? Do you have any tips for getting them unlocked?

Hey man one of them was a little stuck..what I did was put some oil in both of the cylinders. And then I used a pipe wrench on the shaft coming out of the back of the engine..it might have a black cover on it take it off and try and work it back to forth.

Put wd40 in the pistons let sit for a while then try and turn it and repeat if needed
