Buying the OMEGA James Bond 60th Anniversary Seamaster

Two weeks after purchasing the new OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch White Dial in Covent Garden, my friend Phil, president of ‪@007gbclub‬, returned to London with a mission: to check out and possibly buy the 60th Anniversary James Bond Seamaster watch.
After being on the waitlist for nearly a year, he got lucky when buying the Moonwatch and was tipped off that the store would be receiving the 60th Anniversary Bond Watch in a few days which they would also be able to set aside for him if it were still something of interest to him.

About the watch:
Launched in 2022, to celebrate 60 years of James Bond, this 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M in stainless steel, has a blue oxalic anodized aluminium dial, with laser engraved waves, inspired by the Seamaster Diver 300M worn by James Bond in 1995’s GoldenEye. A commemorative 60 replaces the diving scale’s traditional inverted triangle.
The iconic movie opening sequence, featuring Bond in silhouette and spinning gun barrel, plays out on the caseback, beneath a sapphire crystal decorated with micro-structured metallisation. The “moiré” effect animation is linked to the spinning of the lollipop seconds hand.
Adding texture to the metallic look is a brushed stainless steel bracelet, in the same elegant mesh style as Bond’s titanium watch in No Time To Die.
Providing the power is OMEGA’s Co-axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806.
The watch is presented in a blue wooden box decorated in the original Diver 300M pattern, with three dots inspired by the classic Bond movie opening sequence, including a secret push button on the right.

Gorgeous watch! My one reservation about this, and the previous Bond, is how the clasp sits on the underside of the wrist. But the bracelet is beautiful - so I’m sure I could get over that 😊

No issues with it. I've had my NTTD for over two years in all sorts of places and areas. Zero issues with the clasp. I wear it every day.

I hope Omega will take note of how popular these "no date" versions of the Seamaster 300m are. If they could bring out no a no date version of the stainless steel non limited edition versions i would definitely buy one.
