That is no sponge! It is a non-photosynthetic finger Gorgonian, a filter-feeding coral! They are REALLY hard to keep! You need to feed it plankton daily! They don't need light and too much light can cause algae-growth on them! You also need coral-grade water parameters! Check pH, alkalinity, magnesium and calcium!

A mini Mangrove forest in the back sticking up out of the water would look Sick! Any kind of smaller saltwater trees that can thrive in there for your fish villagers to explore and the bright green reflection above and below would be a total indoor oasis of awesomeness.

That orange “sponge thing” you open at 11:26 is a non photosynthetic gorgonian coral, meaning it needs to be fed microscopic foods to survive, there are many products online, just research “coral food for nps gorgonian” I promise you if you don’t do this the coral will quickly die, unless you are using natural unfiltered ocean water to do water changes on these pond in a regular basis(this would regularly introduce phytoplankton and other microscopic foods for the coral to eat into your tank)

My bad... gorgonian Coral. It's not a sponge. If it dies (they're filter feeders), it's skeleton will look pretty much the same, but no colors, so it will work for the pipe fish to anchor to.

Still no acclimation and holding them way too much, it really stresses them out. I know it’s cool for the videos but maybe you could do some good research and find a way to compromise. I know none of us want the fish to get injured or over stressed out just so we can get better views of them. That’s what good camera work is for😁❤️
