Great video. Love the random non trend lures. I would love to see some videos of local bait and lure makers. Always enjoy supporting the local small companies. Did have a question about rods. I see you more with the green googan rod vs the cork one. Do you prefer that model vs the other. I’m looking at get a few but since I haven’t fish any yet leaning more towards the cheaper one to test. The twitch is the one I’m looking at to learn to fish jerk baits more.

Hi there LoJo my tackel box is full of weird tackle like things no-body would take home after a day fishing eg: a stickas a float with a key chain followed by 2 hooks like a choo choow train lol. Caught couple fish on it then kept it , still use it from time to time . Creative minds , made for good times 2:00 looking " kinder" tanned 😎🎣 Love watching looking forward to seeing more 🤘

I remember back in the early 90s Culprit made some rubber worms that had a velcro strip on them that was supposed to improve your hookup rate. Not sure how well it worked, I never noticed much improvement myself!

I'm thinking that Shimano lure would translate really well to saltwater. Particularly over sand flats for things like redfish. In more open water I think it would turn it on for trevally, bonito etc. Around cover I'd expect mangrove snapper too. I really enjoy these "off-brand" and unusual lure tests as they're more like what I'd be doing. I love touring around discount racks and "dollar" stores looking for things like this.

I have that same frog and i love it after shortening the legs and bending the hooks slightly up that frog is a great lure mine has more natural legs but same Velcro patch it my go to after my river to sea bully wah frog

I just did this at a local store in Ohio. They had this buzzbait that I had never seen. I guess it had a “persuader” blade or something. It was a blade inside the bigger blade. I’m gonna buy one next time I go up there.

@lojo I just hit back from Wally World they have white camo real tree baitcasters with cork handles 🤯🤯🤯 naturally I had to buy one. They had a mike ikaneli abu Garcia combo that looked like trash didn’t even have adjustable brakes. Keep the vids comin brotha 🤘🏻🙏❤️

There was a plastic ribbon tail worm that had velcro on it back in the late 80’s or early 90’s

Culprit use to make a ribbon tail work with the Velcro patch on it actually worked pretty good. Could be blue tung they go to water EHD .

Apparently Palomar knots on flouro can be a bad thing. Flouro can cut into itself from what I have been told. I ha e t had an issue. But I do make sure I pull the loop up and lube heavily...slow pull and finger nail tighten. Luckily no issues as of yet.
