Fun fact regarding the ZL1 in the beginning: all 2017 Camaros had the “Fifty” badge on the steering wheel. The actual Fifty editions were all gray and I think only in SS or V6’s with 2LT trim level.

fixing up the 1968-69 Karmann Ghia wouldn't be crazy expensive. Like you could have repaired and flipped the car for good money if you got it cheap enough at auction. VW engine fires are quite common - usually the fuel filter in the engine area which when the fuel lines leaks on the hot engine... you know the rest.

Newburgh, NY Salvage - NO Alcan tera steering wheel covering or any Alcan tera for any interior. - O, Zero, NO, Never. - It is like suede with a military haircut. - Just a fad. Not sure which Super Car had it first and then everyone drools. - I was a Luft8 in L.A. this year (2022) and there were about 8,000 people there, it only felt like 1,000 as there was so much space. I heard several guys say, Ahhhhh... Alcan tera. I asked, “what do you like about it” and one person said, "it is smooth". Well us guys like it smooth and clipped short as possible but this is car fabric we are talking about. - Most they just said they liked Alcan tera but didn’t say why. - Then I said, " what is it specifically that you like about the material? - Almost all could not say what they liked. They would say something that GT 3 had it. I would then say, “so when you look at it what is the first thing you see that makes you like Alcan tera.?” Looks good they say. I said, “what specifically is the best part of “the” look.” The two or more guys gathered together would look at each other for the answer like group of turkeys banging their heads together trying to figure out if they should walk across the 4 lanes of freeway now or at rush hours. -The answer is BRAIN WASHING I say. - It is a poor excuse for a material. Like margarine is a poor excuse for butter - Now back to car show. - NO TESSLA or their cousins! -I have a cell phone, a computer on my desk and batteries in all 3 of our cars. That is as close to a EV for me.
