I can’t bring myself to drive to LI. But I’ll drive to Cleveland, Philly and Chicago. 😂

The Hofstra show is one of the longest-running in the nation to my knowledge. That 1952 Dodgers sepia photocard is stunning. They seem to have quite a good selection of true vintage football. Ted Williams was my boyhood idol. I wish I'd saved some of those 1959 Fleer wrappers.
@SammyThunder19 күн бұрын
I didn't know that. The County Center shows have been going on for a long time as well, but I don't know how long in comparison with Hofstra.

Thanks for taking me with you to the show. Always enjoy your filming. I cannot believe some of the prices. What I use to bring to the National to spend years ago would buy me very little if anything. Looked like a great show and busy.

Thanks for taking us along to the card show Sammy!! Your footage of the shows are always awesome and much appreciated!! In general where have you seen vintage card prices moving at the more recent shows? Enjoy your channel!!

They've been going down, but it depends on what. A lot of Pre War has gone up.

Those entertainment and historical cards near the end are fascinating. I know young people who find those the most appealing. I believe the 1952 Berk Ross Ted Williams was the only card of him that season available outside ballpark photo sets. Thanks for this enjoyable tour.

Those cards caught my eye. It was a nice way to finish the show.

Hi Sammy, Thanks for your coverage of the Fall Classic. It was great to see you on the hunt again. Sorry that you won’t be setting up at shows anymore but I imagine it’s a lot of work. Now you can devote your time to the quest for your Holy Grail! Have a relaxing evening, Peter

Thanks Peter. It's okay. I'm happy to step back from setting up at shows. There are things outside the hobby that I want to do and I can't keep going at the rate of doing shows every Saturday and Sunday.

That looks like a great show. Thanks for showing all 4 sports. I could never stay on a budget with all the shows you get to go to. I'm drooling here.

Dang, what an awesome show! That's almost like a miniNational!
@SammyThunder19 күн бұрын
Yeah, in a way. The Philly show is larger. That to me feels like a mini National.

2 dealers i know for a long time have great vintage cards: John, who usually has a table near the front & wears glasses & Jimmy, whos tables are towards the back bleachers....... Hope you dealt with them today.
@SammyThunder19 күн бұрын
I didn't get a chance to interact too much with dealers today. I only spent about an hour and a half navigating the gym. I'll keep an eye out for them the next time I go.

That looks like an awesome show! I need to get to that one someday
@SammyThunder19 күн бұрын
This was a good show. I still tend to like the County Center shows more because more dealers come out for that one.

Once again great footage of this show which indeed did have a National feel to it. I even noticed that most of the vintage was marked which was an added bonus. I’m anxious to hear about your decision to no longer setting up at shows.
@SammyThunder19 күн бұрын
Thanks man. Most of the cards were priced. There definitely seems to be a turn for the better with that. I decided to stop setting up for a number of reasons. I am trying to put more time into my career and continue building myself. Spending time with my family is very important and not having Saturdays and Sundays to do that was taking its toll.
