I am happy to see that you would like to enjoy vinyl like many others. Your selection is a basic belt driven (which I generally prefer) fully automatic turntable which is also available at Best Buy for a similar price. This is where form vs. function comes into focus. Automatic turntables, generally speaking, do not equal the performance of a good but fully manual turntable dollar for dollar. (Admittedly, there are some pretty lousy manual turntables out there so don't take it as an absolute guarantee.) Bluetooth, well, it's convenient for sure and I'll leave it at that. A source for fidelity, well, not so much. If your musical tastes involve heavily engineered and compressed dynamic range, it might not matter all that much anyway and makes it a good choice. Yet, there are definitely cases where that automatic or even semi-automatic function is essential for the users' enjoyment and I have no issue with that at all. In a parallel universe, most cars would run faster and have better fuel economy if you removed the air conditioning. Same sort of thing, in a way. If you need that type of function to be happy, then certainly buy it. There's little sense to being made miserable to enjoy music."

I bought Marvin Gaye's "'What's Going On" from Barnes and Noble the night I might my wife. You can imagine my surprise when I got home and the quality absolutely sucked!!! Must have been a terrible master. Learned my lesson on that venture.

As did I. If I want to own LPs from that era, I buy what was pressed in that era. I mentioned a good guy in the video to check out for that.
