• Buy Side: Represents areas where market participants are likely to initiate buying activity. This could be identified as significant support zones or order blocks where buying pressure is expected to push prices higher.
• Sell Side: Refers to areas where selling pressure may be concentrated. These are typically identified as resistance zones or order blocks where sellers are expected to push prices lower.
2. Liquidity (Liq):
• In ICT, liquidity refers to the availability of buyers and sellers at specific price levels. High liquidity indicates there are many participants willing to transact at a given price, making it easier to enter or exit positions without significantly impacting prices.
• ICT traders often look for areas of high liquidity, such as around order blocks, to ensure smoother execution of trades and to avoid slippage.
3. Entry and Exit on Order Blocks:
• Entry on Order Blocks: ICT focuses on identifying order blocks, which are areas where significant buying or selling has occurred. Traders using ICT methodology may enter positions when price revisits these order blocks, expecting a reaction or continuation of the previous buying or selling pressure.
• For example, a buy-side entry could occur when price retraces to a previous order block that acted as strong support in the past.
