Thanks for watching! I know this kind of game may not appeal to everybody, but buzkashi is a fascinating look at the Central Asian culture. If you want to read the full rules of the game, you can visit the FarWestChina website here: ▶ Buzkashi rules: www.farwestchina.com/culture/buzkashi-rules-explained/

I think that area of Tajikistan used to be part of Afghanistan until the British and Russians divided it and then it became Badakhsan Afghanistan and Badakhshan Tajikistan but they are the same people.
@mongolchiuud89317 жыл бұрын
It was never apart of "Tajikistan" as Tajikistan didnt exist back then. LOL It was apart of the Uzbek Khanate Bukhara in the 1800s and giving to the Durrani(Abdali/Afghans).

Ancient games in a culture as old as the earth, always raw, and highly tribal, make me see humanity in its full expression. Thanks for this great footage of celebration in the old ways!

Things I see wrong with this sport 1. Horses are too small for people 2. People are whipping horses 3. Riders are pulling on horses mouths with severe bits 4. Horse made to run into other horses and people

This has to be one of the cruelest sport i have ever seen those bits are practically ripping through there mouth! Horses never should be used for this. Horses are loyal and will do anything there riders say THEY ARE NOT ENJOYING THIS. would u want to have a metal hunk in our mouth (I am not against bits you can have the harshest bit but in soft hands in can become a kind bit) and would you like to be forced into people and fall over while having your mouth pulled up and ur mouth being ripped into two NO there pulling there head up there mouths are open in complete pain it should actual be illegal and under animal cruelty for the way there treating those horses. A HORSE FELL OVER BC THE RIDER WAS PULLING S HARD AND JERKING THE HORSE WAS TRYING TO GET AWAY FROM THE PAIN CAN YOU PEOPLE NOT SEE THIS SOMEONE NEED TO GET IN THERE AND STOP IT WHO GIVE CRAP IF IT TRADITION WOOPY POOPY GET OVER IT THERE HURTING ACTUAL ANIMAL IMAGEN IF YOU WERE THAT HORSE! WHIPPING THE HORSE TO GET UP! WOW THAT'S CROSSING THE FRICKEN LINE HONEY SOME ONE NEEDS TO GO OVER THERE STICK A BIT IN THE RIDERS MOUTH YANK IT UP RIP THERE MOUTH OUT THEN MAKE THEM FALL OVER AND WHIP THEM TO GET UP HOW THE HECK IS THIS STILL LEGAL WTF! There my rant, an equestrian had to do it so people could see that this is so cruel it not even cool. Edit: "central Asia's most dangerous game" YEAH 4 THE HORSES!

When you make a video you should do some research first or you should try to fix it ad many say Buzkashi is Afghanistan national game & The game was also used to practice to be good in war using horse as practice for warriors in war & attack the opposition enemies camps & drag people on the horseback this was mentioned in many historical stories of Arabs also competing to attack the enemy camps sometimes at night & kidnapping & bringing their enemies & leaders from their camps & tents. You have polo we have buzkashi. Allah knows best.

@FarWestChina6 жыл бұрын
Are you concerned about the goat, the horse or the man?
@Cashewthenut6 жыл бұрын
@@FarWestChina mainly the horses. But yes the goat as well. The men are there voluntarily, and it's their own faults if they get hurt.
@melissawillchene44645 жыл бұрын
You need to understand in other parts of the world and other cultures animals hold a different value than what you probably place on them. It doesn't do this guy any good to act all concerned he's obviously there to experience the culture not critique it.
