@@TlalocTemporal Hell, it has it on the page. As with most other things in the vanilla game, it's based almost solely on logical processing, and communication. Most newbies get so flustered at "morse", that they stop process what they're looking at. As someone who tends to watch newbies play on Twitch (i'm following the KTANE category), my general advice to newbies is to breathe, and to focus on the letter pauses. Process one letter at a time, and accept that you won't be able to get the full sequence in one shot. If you miss a letter dumping the previous one on your expert, tell them, and either pick back up at the next letter, or wait till to back to where you were on word cycle.

This is a great concept. Love watching. Here's what I would like to see: Give the instructions guy the freedom to organize the manual however he likes. Let him bring sticky flags, make notes, pin pages up on the wall, whatever. Having played this game, I'll tell you that it changes completely when you start getting serious about organizing the instructions and your workspace. Then if you want them to do even better, let them switch roles for a couple rounds so that the tech knows what the instructions are like and the guide knows what the modules look like.

I don't even care they didn't get the last one. They worked so well together! I can't begin to imagine what a real situation would be like, especially when you're down to the buzzer. Awesome dudes!
@AllaMortify4 жыл бұрын
What I took from that was what they communicated. On the symbol keypad module, the letters are obviously from a Cyrillic alphabet, but I get the feeling even if one of them knew that and knew what the actual letters were called, they'd still describe them visually as like AE or backwards N or trident as otherwise you are assuming the other person knows the same as you, a dangerous assumption to make in the circumstances. Secondly, on the wire cutting tasks, the guy with the view isn't just describing everything he sees, just what is relevant in order to be able to narrow down the possibilities. The guy with the manual leads asking for the info he needs to know to identify which puzzle it is. It's streamlined and efficient without adding in extraneous and irrelevant details to confuse things and waste time. Be interesting to see them have something in say Arabic or a much less familiar to westerners script to see how they'd cope when they are really out of their comfort zone.
