The Cherry Ripe isn't a Cadbury invention. It was made by an Australian confectioner MacRobertson's in 1924. The Violet Crumble was made by Hoadleys in 1913. Like a lot of Australian industry, it gets taken over by multi nationals, and product get rebrand as Cadbury/Nestle. I'm old enough to remember when they were under the old brand names. On another note Fantales are softer than they once were and Violet Crumbles taste less sweet than they used to. Keep up with the videos, it's great seeing the views and reactions of the younger generations.

Australia has the Galaxy bar it was just sold under the name Dove. (You guys should have known that being Aussie chocolate eaters). I have not seen it for at least 5 years I think. Also our Aero bar is exactly the same as the Wispa. Its air filled chocolate.

the problem with using a crunchie or a freddo is Australia also has both of those so its pointless to compare them. Galaxy chocolate also probably shouldnt have been included since you can get it in australia but its called Dove chocolate. Oddly enough Galaxy/Dove chocolate is american not Uk or Australian

most popular chocolate in UK is made by cadburys. Most of their stuff it just plain milk chocolate but they make them with different textures, crumbly, or with nuts, or bubbles etc... but all pretty much just plain milk chocolate. So it's the texture that people like as many like to take a bite and suck or let the chocolat melt in their mouth, rather than chew the chocolate.

YES TO THE WHISPA ! To be fair even just comparing the same Cadburys bars in Australia and in the UK they taste soooo different. To me Aussie Cadburys taste like white chocolate because its so sweet. I'm here for British chocolate through and through. Chris Harris When I was studying in England, I found UK chocolate to be too sweet for me. I actively avoided milk chocolate when I was there. I had my mum send me chocolate from home in Australia. I had no issue with chocolate when I was travelling through Europe though.

I would have gone with peppermint crisp, polly waffle (if they've brought those back???), fruchocs...cherry ripes are a good choice but they're no where near as nice as they used to be - used to have more cherries. I cannot eat British Nestle chocolate, it tastes terrible...not a huge fan of British Cadbury either. If I had to pick a supermarket brand I would go whittakers.

Freddo is Australian, Caramello Koala is South African. Crunchies have more of a deeper burnt honeycomb flavour than Violet Crumbles, and Violet Crumbles are older than Crunchies.

Cadburys Ireland, also produce a caramelo bar. Though we do sell Cadburys caramel. 'Caramel ' has a thicker and smoother consistency, with a soft toffee flavour.. While, 'Camramelo.' , Has a lighter consistency but, with a stronger 'burnt' caramel flavour. Either way , both are worth risking your teeth for with either a hot cup of coffee. I can feel a chocolate, tooth ache coming on.

For the record, Americans do say "ca-ra-mel" when referring the the filling often found in chocolates. "Car-mel" is made by dissolving brown sugar into melted butter, heating until it bubbles, then drizzling the mixture over cakes and other pastries. Two completely different references.

Australian chocolate used to be much nicer such as Cadbury . Australian Cadbury chocolate was much better than the British until Kraft Took over and now it isn’t full cream milk chocolate . They use palm oil in it now and it taste too sweet . Australian hand made chocolate is amazing !
