what is the average depth coming through the North Sound in Gorda Sound? Could a 125ft motor yacht with 9-ft draft make it through?

Which charts are you using? I have Navionics app and the charter obviously has a chartplotter but I am looking for excellent paper charts.

Most charter companies in the BVI use IMRAY-IOLIRE charts. Fairly easy to find at West Marine. Bon Voyage!

You make it sound like Bitter End is functioning and Saba Rock only had minor damage. What is the real situation post Irma??

Ron B. The Bitter End and Saba Rock were devastated. They are both re-building as you read this but are not currently open. We made a conscious decision to make these chart briefs as if the BVI was fully functional, because in 6 months it will be and this briefing will be around for a few years. The devastation of hurricane Irma is well documented, and the islands are rebounding surprisingly well. The North Sound was particularly badly hit and it will be quite a long time until it is open fully. Having lived in the BVI for 8 years the determination of the islanders to bounce back should not be underestimated. We are actively promoting the BVI as only with us going and spending our dollars there will they rebound quickly.

I have a charter scheduled for the first week in April 2018 and ran across your video...that's why i was questioning some of your recommendations. Obviously many won't apply to us for April. The videos are great however...This will be my 7th time in the BVIs but I am bringing people who haven't been so I am trying to select a 7 day route so they can see some of the things that remain.

Because i know the ownership, and it is being rebuilt. It will be open fairly soon by all accounts.
