Can't thank you enough for the high quality videos you are sharing Alan. Just returned form the BVI's with a group of 17 friends. Rented 3 Aquila's from MarineMax for a week. We used this itinery and it could not have been better. Everyone really enjoyed the perfectly planned itinerary. Going to enjoy watching your videos after the trip as well to "bring me back." Wishing you luck with your future boat repair endeavor.

Thank you Alan. My wife and I have started planning her 40th Birthday BVI Charter trip and fortunately stumbled upon your page. After about a week of watching, we've finally watched all your videos. Thank you for your wealth of knowledge regarding everything there is to know and do when chartering a boat. From an aspiring travel KZbin vlogger, thank you for sharing all your ups and your downs . I hope your luck turns with the new boat, we'll be sending some good vibes your way.

As always a great video. BVI needs to hire you as an ambassador. Last year at this time we did a 7 days trip and spent 2 days in the north south. Definitely worth the time. Anchor at Bitter end and then you can dingy around to all the spots

We did the same thing in April. Anchored at Bitter End for 2 nights and it was an awesome idea. Hit the baths one day and bitter end beach, then hit prickly pear and saba rock the next!

Another awesome video Alan, really appreciate the info and time spent putting it together. We hired a PC43 this summer and your content really helped me put together a great two week charter for my family, who are now entirely hooked on these holidays! Btw, while we were back at Moorings base my son and I took a taxi to MarineMax to check out their fleet. A chap called Kevin couldn’t have been more helpful, he showed us onboard all their models and was a true ambassador. Hoping to get back in 2024 but on an Aquila 44

Loved it back then, love it now... One thing to consider and mention.... Your trips are done using a power boat which means... You move way faster which means... A sail boat all have hard time executing this plan... For sure not at ease.

Great video!! We are leaving in 2 weeks to start our 7 day trip!!! Thanks to your videos and tips we have a great vacation planned. Will follow your CCW direction. Question about bring the dinghy in to Anegada (and at other locations that you are not patronizing immediately)- meaning, we want to park our dinghy to go get scooters…but where should we do that if we are not eating at a restaurant until later that evening? Where to park your dinghy? Thanks for your advise! Will post back after our trip!

Wow. Thanks so much! Love to help! U can park the dinghy at Potters. Yes it’s a restaurant but it’s also a public dinghy dock. Park away. Look at it this way…public dock that benefits Potters. Not the other way around. Have fun and be safe!

@@thewanderinghillbilly Great, thank you. Wish there were more like that here in Clearwater - Seminole. Also - I started reading The Republic of Pirates at your suggestion 🤓. I saw that you fueled up on your trip - wasn’t expecting to need to do that for this 7 day trip. We too like the AC, which will use more fuel - not worried about it - will get some if we need it. Thanks again.

@@thewanderinghillbilly - Well, we did your BVI 7 day itinerary - it was perfect for us! A truly magical trip! Weather was great too in Feb / March. Hard to pick a favorite - but the Baths was one of our favorites, Saba Rock / Bitter End, and lobsters at Potter’s on Anegada, and Scrub Island Resort were highlights. Well, heck, I guess they were all favorites! Look forward to going back - thanks again for all you help and information.

Alan, your vlog is inspiring, the BVI chartering & boating info, how to be a good captain, and life mgmt. You are a very effective communicator! My wife and I are preparing to do our first BVI charter. We have cruising experience (12 trips to the Abacos) on our own power boat. I would like more detailed navigation information, gps waypoints and routes to pair with your suggested itinerary. I enjoy preparing for a passage no matter the length. I am familiar and use the navionics app. In preparation for cruising to the Abacos we use the Abacos cruising guide by Steve Dodge. Would you please recommend a resource or provide the the navigation info you have used. Sincerely Gordon & Cathy

Question from a past video about using Head. I will have a lot of women on our charter and they wonder about what to do with the toilet paper. I have heard both ways that you can not put is in the head and or you need to throw it in the trash … gross. What’s your opinion on this and how do you handle paper in the trash if you did that. Many thanks since u will be outnumbered 4 to one with females.

You are so correct. the video on Marinemax vs Moorings is spot on. We returned from 8 days on the Aquila 443 and using the head and TP was no problem and the water maker makes suce a hudge difference in the quality of the trip. We had a friend on the Moorings 44 in the bvi the week before us and they were always stopping for trash and water. they even stayed in a hotel 2 nights in anegada and in Scrub so they could have a "proper" shower and bed. We never stayed off the boat and say about twice as much BVI fun than our friends did. Thanks and keep up the great video's. you are really helping those of us with limited BVI experience. Also good luck on the 54. For some fun you might try dinner at the 15th Street Fisheries in Lauderdale. One of our favs when we are in the area.
