THANKS TOBY! acres or miles km square chunks my brain can work with to easily put it into mental pictures lol. in either system you are correct landscape maintenance is HARD work worse so in extremes of weather hot cold wet or dry, you might want to look into goats they like to eat vegetation that your spending a lot of energy to remove...i would suspect there are local...ish shepherds who could use fresh grazing , on the hiking and mountain biking you need to be careful about erosion many areas where it has been popular have gone through poor design damage and costly repair of trail systems caused by there use. in the intro you mention solar and wind but forget water ....you live on an island lol ! tidal generation has had some breakthroughs lately . i might consider composting the vegetation for soil enrichment but as is it acts as a mulch retaining moisture and suppressing growth hmmm hard call on that one lazy...efficient says leave it itll rot down eventually and amend the soil there lol . i dont envy you doing it all with a string trimmer thats more brushhog territory or even a ride on mower .looking forward to the next one c ya then.

Thanks. I went to speak to the local goat herd. Because we’re inside a rural park there are a lot of protected species and the goat man had obviously been given a good warning because he was scared. In fact a few months later, he and his 200 goats disappeared from the area completely. I have one goat 🐐 but it’s too much for her ! 😂

@@BuenavistaRuralClub 200 is a bit much lol i was figuring 20 30 would keep the terraces knocked down until there in use ..alpaca laama? both have harvest able byproducts even if not native , traditionally there would have been enough livestock to keep it tidy just in transportation animals forget food sources or other resources we domesticated them for ...theres been more than a few strange ones ,
