Not being included in George's memorial concert/no anniversary concert of Layla [and its GUITAR heavy reissue] are bad for all the reasons people mentioned. Bad, but not surprising I guess. Its not just "some music" we're talking about though. All Things Must Pass and Layla were the best music Harrison and Clapton ever made. Both recordings are amazingly consistent in quality. You have exactly the right attitude about it. Nothing afterward changes what originally happened and its value.

As a guitarist, I feel extremely indebted to Eric Clapton and Duane Allman, among others. Clearly the Dominos were a stellar group without Duane, as evidenced by the first three songs on the Layla album as well as the two live Dominos album/cds, especially the In Concert. Personally, I actually prefer the live album a bit more because it is an amazing testament to the power of the Dominos. The songs co-written with Bobby and Eric remain some of the best of Eric’s career. As to Duane’s slide work on the coda, I’ve always enjoyed it. I think the passion outshines the pitch problems, similar to some of the real old blues recordings.

Up until I started watching and loving these Videos, CoCo (and Bobby), I wasn't all that interested in ATMP and I had never in my 71 years on the planet listened all the way through the Layla Album. Now, I can't get enough of them. And it's not because I am a huge Clapton fan, because I'm not, really, although I like a lot of his recordings and was privileged to see Cream when they first played the Fillmore in San Francisco. Paul Butterfield was on the bill with Mike Bloomfield who was then in his blues band. ATMP was not as interesting to me at the time it came out. I was a huge Beatles' fan (I still am!). I was still very upset about the Beatles having broken up when they started releasing solo albums.. The point is, now that I understand Bobby's place in both albums, Layla and ATMP, I listen to them all the time now. And I listen for the organ parts and the harmony singing, piano, etc. It means so much to have you detail the music production. IT makes the music alive in ways that are multi-dimensional, Bobby. When I start thinking about your professional life, Bobby, I wish that someone would have come along and sort of managed you like others did for the super-stars. I wish you would have been asked to play non-stop (session after session after session etc.) for others' records over the years. I do believe in Providence (i.e. God) and it obviously was not the plan for you to do what I wish you had done. And I know you have your reasons for dropping out of the music scene for as long as you did. But the music world lost out on what "could have been", because you are one of the truly great rock musicians, and recording-session side-men/ participants of all time. I am just so glad that you and CoCo do these videos. I appreciate that you both have made yourselves so accessible. You have truly blessed my life. Rock and roll music has always been my chief interest in life and you have made an enormous contribution to my passion for the music. Thank you both. Someday you will have to tell us how the idea came to do these videos. Meanwhile, I keep myself glued to KZbin!

Well, that was just lovely. Bobby has the most infectious laughter, I about lost it one the, "Now, which button do I push again?". But, you're right...they did kinda try and push you guys into the background and make it an Eric and Duane deal. I had the album and saw picture of you I'm sure but it wasn't until you guys were on the Johnny Cash Show that I had any idea of what you might be like or really meant to the band or that it was YOUR rather, can I say enthusiastic? singing I was hearing, like doing that Sam and Dave thing with Eric throughout the album. You look good with pandemic hair too. Be well you two.

I've mentioned before, I am a B-3 player and keyboard player (Hammond SK-2 set up with a Leslie) and listening to your relaxed style on these cuts (after you've chatted about them), as I am still learning in a sense, has given me confidence to just play. (I am a little late in the game getting in...life happens). Forget about how others want me to play like someone else, I'm becoming more comfortable and relaxed with what I've got as I am woodshedding, so when we finally open things back up here in Louisiana, I'll be better prepared when I do get a call from a band to come play with them. So, feel good about still inspiring people, Bobby. I thank you for being so candid. Damn if I wouldn't love to make a trip to where you're at just to jam and learn (even at 63). Didn't mean to make this about me...a round about way to say thank you, nonetheless.

This was priceless! Thank you for the stories and please keep them coming. All Things Must Pass and Layla & other Assorted Love Songs are masterpieces in Rock History.

Thank you Bobby and Coco. it is an inspiration to hear these stories of a great life playing music. Its great to hear what happens in the reality of these sessions etc instead of reading things that can be untrue and usually are. The wisdom and the humour is wonderful. Bless you, both.

You guys are my favorite ‘go to’ on KZbin. Short sweet informative bits. Like the modern-day Readers Digest.

Thank you Bobby for these amazing first-hand stories that have never been told before. Thank you CoCo for bringing your questions to the forefront...It's great listening to the 'history' behind a time in music when it was really worth listening to!
