Sawmill Lake is a 14 acre lake located in Washburn county in Wisconsin. It has a max depth of 26 feet, and contains panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and trout.
It has nice clear water, but the bottom is 95% muck, so it makes the water look very dark. It also has a 25 site campground that is surrounded by many small kettle moraine glacial lakes, which are connected by a canoe portage system.
It reminds me of the BWCA in northern Minnesota. You will be surrounded by rolling hills filled with hardwoods that look spectacular in the fall. IF you want to get away from it all, this is a great place.
