Just came across your video. We past you guys as you were coming out on Friday. You guys were headed to your last portage into cross river and we just finished it. You told us to hug the shoreline heading into the next portage. Enjoyed your video

We remember you guys! How'd you make it? That water was moving damn fast that day. Definitely the fastest of our trip!

@@DaneCordes that’s what originally drew me to your Video, I wanted to compare what water levels were especially on the cross river. It was substantially higher on Friday than when you guys went in a few days prior. That thunderstorm on Thursday night really raised the water levels. Our trip was pretty good, went down to rib for a couple nights then went over to missing link. Saw a moose and her calf on the portage from lower George going into Karl.

Thanks for the great video! I was originally going to entry #7 Big Lake May 13th but due to ice decided to reschedule to the end of September. Looks like I chose wisely. Was up at the same time last year and it was upper 70's and 80's the whole time. The only bad thing was the black flies. You would go insane without a head net.

Thanks! We just got back from Little Sag and had to cut our trip short because the Black Flies were driving our dog crazy. It was impressive how well they can burrow through fur! Well, we learn something new every trip and we will probably leave the pooch home during the peak bug season.

wow the water ya know,yall are some troopers nice .Very cute dog too.Others i watch havent been out too much think i know why now. I never thought about being hard to get around when theres still ice . But it's 101 heat index during the day here in north central florida so ice is furthest thing from my mind less I need some in my drink glass plus the place i kayak cant take my dog cause gators as big as my kayak which would love my dog to go swimming.awesome video beautiful scenery .

It's on our bucket list to do some FL canoeing! Sounds fun, but I think we'll leave the doggo on land for that trip.

Amazing video. We have not tried going in that early. What kind of boots are those?
@DaneCordes Жыл бұрын
You should! We tried on these Lacrosse boots at a Fleet Farm in Marshfield, WI and really liked them. They're similar to the brand Muck Boot. We wore sealskinz underneath and stayed very comfortable. Gear of the the trip for sure! www.lacrossefootwear.com/mens/men-s-footwear/alpha-lite-pull-on-16-black-5-0mm.html www.sealskinzusa.com/products/waterproof-all-weather-mid-length-sock

Excellent video. What kind of tarp is that you're using?
@DaneCordes2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! The tarp is from Cooke Custom Sewing. It is the 10' x 12'. Cliff Jacobson recommended the yellow color because it is brighter underneath it during rainy days. He's got a video called "The Forgotten Skills" that really elevated our tarp game this year.
