We definitely need a 422 preserved before its too late. They are an historic loco but Thirlmere or any one else doesn't seem interested. Why?

The noodles at Aurizon have a serious problem with not looking far enough into the future. Let’s make money for shareholders by disposing of assets. Then 5-10 years later: oops, we need locos and rollingstock because we left intermodal market and now we’re back in the intermodal market. In the meantime we lose historical locos like L class, 421s and 422s. Sadly these were cut up “by mistake” or so I heard. I think the 421 survived?
