小戴 is a truly world top class player, in skill and in behaviour. Truly delightful skill, humble, and also cute when she laughs at herself following a mistake, after trying hard. She has also learnt not to let Carolina, the not graceful player, take advantage of her using the small delay tricks. So happy to see 小戴 re-set herself after Carolina make her wait in position far too long to serve. Also, when waiting to serve, Carolina as usual drag it till opponent lose concentration. So, 小戴, next time she does it again (as she always do habitually), use her own trick back on her when she is ready to serve, by waving to signal that you are not ready. I'm sure everyone will be delighted to see Carolina eats her own medicine. And kudos to the umpire for doing a good job for not letting this nonsense happen too much. Finally, 小戴, you are the best.

I realised everytime the umpire calls out 20 seconds back into the court, tty will immediately went back into the court whereas carolina will always use up till the very last second to go back in. I enjoyed the commentators' discussion of the changing draft and the change for Carolina Marin from the second set. But not really, Tai Tzu Ying found her pace already in the second half of the first set, just wasn't able to even out the score, but barely. It looks to me like Carolina played with sheer and visible fury from the get-go, but wasn't' able to maintain that for long, not even through the first set. This something, parhaps rooted in her Spanish nature, I see a lot latino soul in her behavior. Emotions all over the place. That's why I love Spanish people, for their passion. But it's not quite helpful in such a mentally demanding sport as badminton. Add the screaming and you have the full picture. And Tzu Ying plays into the game, she warms up and self-synchronizes, also mentally. She plays the long shot. She manages her energy and focus throughout the whole game. That's why she has been No 1 for five years straight. The draft has nothing to do wit that. Beautiful game.

馬琳確實改變很多了啦!我對他的嘶吼也不反感，女雙吼的比她大聲的都有好幾個，真正對他不滿的是她落後時掃球還有故意拖延時間的行為，17年和小戴在大馬的比賽，被裁判警告很多次，最後被全場噓，真的是自己很誇張的球品導致的，有一場和山口茜的掃球行為也讓小茜啞口無言，她的形象是自己造成的，但我還是要替她說些話，這幾年她真的改很多了，但有時那種當下的反應真的很難要求，我喜歡他的球風，她的無敵企圖心也是讓人佩服啊..而且她落後時氣噗噗的模樣其實蠻好笑的>

I see all the comments disliking Marin. While I agree her play is borderline dirty with the screaming & delaying, but I give her credit for her hardwork. It's difficult to have the best training in countries where badminton isnt popular. She even sometimes had to train in other countries. The support & reward she got when she won OG gold was not much (much less than what Shindu received from getting silver). But bcoz of her, badminton is getting popular there. Dont forget she suffered a heavy injury & had to go through surgery a while back, then a few months later already winning a tournament. Kinda similar to Shindu. Dont really like the way she sometimes disrespects opponents on court, but I gotta give her credit for mastering PR so well, making her a great marketing tool.
