Seo Sung Jae will go on to become one of the greatest ever to have played the game .He has played with three different partners in the past few months and has reached the finals of almost all tournaments he has played. I have never seen Rankireddy/Shetty beaten so comprehensively by any pair of late.They are quite similar to Liang/Wang where if the opponents are able to negate the attack of the backcourt player, they are then forced to play a flat game which they are not comfortable with.

Completely disagree with your last paragraph. Chia and Soh can easily defend against LiangWangs smashes, and LiangWang comprehensively out play them with drives and at the front court. Thats how they've won 8-3 in a head to head.

@typingthis30 If you look at the matches of both of these pairs,you can easily figure out that once the opponents are able to negate the backcourt attacker and deliver flat smash returns beyond the reach of the front court player it's really hard for both of these pairs to be dominant against those teams

@KZbinYTG I've quit literally just given you an example as to why that isn't the case. Another example for LiangWang is AlfianArdianto, who can comfortable return their smashes, however in almost every single match they are comprehensively outplayed by LiangWang. They struggle with Seo especially as his shots are incredibly high quality, and has high tactical awareness. For Rankireddy/Shetty you might be right in their case.

@typingthis30 Alfian/Ardianto may not be the best example as their defence isn't that great compared to the likes of Astrup/Rasmussen or Chia/Soh. It's not only Seo they are struggling against.They have lost to i some scratch pairs as well who have a great defence.

Chirag Shetty, the elder of the duo immediately needs to imbibe Cai Yun's deadly deceptions and change in pace into his front court game which can be unpredictable for opponents who have extremely strong defence like these Koreans. He should not just rely only on brute force, he also needs cleverness along with muscle power so beat these kind of players. Satwik do not need deceptions, he can only hit smashes like Fu Hai Feng. Cai Yun tackled Lee Yong Dae and his partners in front court with change in pace.
