Very intricate playing here. The chord shapes and arpeggios work together so well. Having watched you for many years, (i go back to the "everybody wants to rule the world" days), I have to say the fretboard knowledge you demonstrate here is impressive and easily some of your best. It seems like so much of this is intuitive to you now, if it wasn't earlier on. Kudos! By the way, Rick Beato has a great video of the Cure and this song I recommend checking out. The way they layer is very Def Leppard like in a sense.

The clip is from a time when Adrenalize was keeping them off the number one spot. I think there’s a bit of British humour in there but even if he’s serious, it doesn’t really matter. I’d understand if he didn’t particularly like Leppard or similar bands of that time.🙂

‘Leppardized' is my way of adding interesting guitar parts to a song that has little to no guitar in it, in an attempt to make it more like the Hysteria era of Def Leppard. Although really it is just an excuse for me to play over pop. :)
