What you were talking about around the 23-minute mark is exactly why I've rapidly fallen in love with this game. With so many unique characters, having the ability to explore literally all of them in a unique way and employ different strategies for each member of the same class is an awesome experience. That (and the more cooperative focus) is the reason to play this over games like Halo and Call of Duty. I love your take on it. Love your videos, too.

The Reegar is kind of a medium weight gun. Slapping the Omni-Blade on it, really pushes your cooldown for Biotic Charge to the limit on a build like this.

Very true. At that point I'd only rely on the gun. Melee build on this is fun, as you have said.

Hey again Bunky !! Thanks for this one too. One of my most used and favourite characters on ME3M. Called him the Street Fighter. All enemies get their share of shotgun slapping or Dreadnought Punch against him (even Swarmers, yeah) !! Ravagers and Geth pyros are a true treat to let off steam after a hard day at work LOL. Regarding BA though, I don't have any issue with it (playing on PS3). Even Geth Primes sometimes get finished by it while I melee them. My only drawback with him is heavy melee against Phantoms, Atlases, Brutes and Banshees. Needs to be done with extremely precise timing and aim, otherwise you'll get cranked down before your punch comes...

Adnane Rabah The trick is knowing when the enemy can sync-kill you. BA works, just not as described.

Definitely. Atlases are pretty easy to punch multiples times, as long as you step back a little and let them do their melee move (same goes for Scions). Banshees are to be approached with caution and best is to punch them in the back while someone else draws her attention (same goes for Primes). But Phantoms are the real problem. You must launch the attack at a 0.5 second window after a successful charge and make sure Brawler gets lined up to her and follows her after the biotic charge hit. He's by far my best and favourite Vanguard (haven't got N7 Slayer yet, but as I saw with people around, he seems to be another electric wave spamming cheap character; which annoys me)...

Adnane Rabah Aside from the Banshee; all sync-kill enemies, can only do so, after a melee attack. If they perform any other attack they're open. The Banshee on the other hand, has an entire state where she cannot sync-kill. Indicative of the others; if she's shooting, you're safe. The Praetorian is most hazardous. You can only get a hit in when he's firing, but he can cancel that attack so quickly, you're best waiting until he's preoccupied or shooting. The Brawler's a tank, it's natural to want to roll over things with him. However there's a better tank and you won't get a better opportunity to use the Batarian heavy melee.

Thanks again for your feedback. I did notice and assimilated the Banshee attack patterns now and I can now deal with her alone. Praetorian, I stay away from them and just shoot. I got stung so many times after a BC because of a glitch, or because someone got in my way. And another big problem with big bosses is that (on PS3 version which I own) I get insta-killed by their melee special move while I'm meters away from then. I leave my spot and run to get away, and I suddendly see myself dragged back right into their claws and get sliced/slammed to death. Happened to me with Atlas and Banshee as well. It's a really disgusting shit and happens many times. Along with the fact that I sometimes can't launch BC despite looking at the enemy right between the eyes, and I get shot down... -_-

Adnane Rabah Welcome to the wonderful world of ME3MP. Enemies used to drag you halfway across a map to sync-kill, but lag has always been the Vanguard's biggest enemy.

I think they should take a similar approach to Halo 4. As you level each class to 20, you get to choose another race in that class and then progress...like specializations. So there'd be an additional 20 levels and you can pick more classes from there. Makes you experience each class from the beginning, too. Then credits could just buy guns/gear. Consumables could be randomly awarded after each game. Just a thought.

I actually like to strap on an acolyte to this guy (HCB + lightweight materials) to better deal with shielded bosses. And I still manage to stick with a nice 120% recharge.

i miss my batarian brawler days, just fly in and make my own personal moshpit, spent more time punching and swinging my shotgun like a bat then i did firing. was the envy my teammates of clearing out rooms on my own lol

I love your rant at the end of the video, it's why I've explored (I think) all of your guides, you have a very nice way of finding niches in every character. That's an impressive feat when there are 60 of them. I got my havoc for Harrier-whoring and Vorcha Soldier for acolyte-spam. As you said, why would I want that for every single class? Just a Q, do you have a build for the Venom Shotgun? A find several that it works well with and I LOVE that gun!

I love this kit, and I've played pretty well in multiplayer over the years thanks to you! But man, I struggle a lot with Collectors with this kit; the other factions seem to have a better balance of mooks to bosses, whereas with Collectors you have so many bosses, and I'm not a huge fan of the piranha at level II for dealing with them but it is the only automatic shotgun besides the reegar, and I use that on the Kroguard, gah. I charged a buggy praetorian off host and it decided to float in the air and I backed up 20 ft, still got sync killed. He does wreck Cerberus and Geth tho

Lag is OP, the Collectors ain’t so bad though. You don’t need a fully auto shotgun on this kit, any good DPS with mid to light weight will work where the heavy melee doesn’t. The Praetorian is the only enemy you can’t get hands on with (ignoring Seekers), but that can change if they’re aggro-ing someone else or caught on a slope.

"The damage (done by rank 5b of Blade Armor) doesn't show on their health bar." That power is a bit schizo for me. I've seen plenty of things killed by it (Primes love to kill themselves), but when I watch, I don't see any damage done by it. No change on their health bar for it, nothing. It may flash like it's been hit, but that could be me or a teammate shooting it. If I hadn't been paying to the combat log and seen me kill something with Blade Armor, I would think it's bugged.

+Edward Collins Are you quoting me, because I can confirm that Blade Armor is bugged. The percent of melee damage returned is supposed to be that of the enemy's base damage. The enemy's damage, however; is multiplied by the difficulty of the game, but the return damage from BA is mistakenly divided by it. This makes BA's damage smaller the higher difficulty you play. At least for gold and platinum anyway, it's highest in silver; but it can quickly become unnoticeable as a result, since you're only doing about 10-15% of the damage you should. The "Damaged Returned" evolution is the one part of the formula that works correctly.

i'd say gold with a few plats spliced in for certain teams that particularly shine on boss killing (all can ofc but some are definatly made more to destroy bosses) also just an idea, why not do some fun teams or lore teams, something for the lulz so to speak. i'd rather love to see a quarian and his 3 pet geth team xD

Love these build guides! I've had dreadful luck in unlocking the better guns and characters so imagine my joy when I got this guy in a veteran pack earlier today! Just had my first game with him at level 8 and still melee killed a prime haha! Maybe now I can finally smash away at silver to earn some decent credit for the store of damnation and despair. i dont know if you still read this but i get sync killed basically every round. brute banshee everything. even when i try to only charge them from behind and instantly back off for shooting the gun. its just constantly. any tip?

You need to make yourself familiar with what triggers a sync-kill and only charge in when it’s safe. Phantoms, Atlases and Scions can sync-kill any player after a melee attack, so if you see or get hit by their melee, back up and force them into a range attack before charging in. Praetorians need to melee first too, but they’re too fast to escape from if you are. Either attack when they are aggro’d by another player, or attack from a different elevation (i.e. on a slope/staircase). Banshees can only sync-kill in their teleport stance, whereas Brutes are unpredictable but far less likely to try. Safe bet is to treat them like Praetorians.

@@Bwnci thank you so much for your fast and useful response. still coming back to game over and over again. still using your guide only because i love your approach on diversity. maybe you could answer me two more thing. 1. any tips on how to farm cyclonic modulator effeicently? im always out. 2. are you aware that the games difficulty is fps depent? like 30 fps on console and enemies have less aggression and accuracy so to speak. and 60 fps on pc its like constant dying.

@@Methabolic I have a store guide video for spending your credits efficiently. Besides that, the only trick to getting lots of Cyclonics is making money and playing more builds that aren’t dependent on them. If you got a good group of friends, having the host drop-out and reload the lobby will enable everyone else to not spend their consumables in the next match (hopefully I’m not confusing this trick with Andromeda :P). A higher FPS will make enemy attacks more frequent, but will also make your character more responsive. Swings and roundabouts. Your best setting the game at a pace that works for you.

@@Bwnci oh i watched every single me3 mp video you got also for the store. there are just some things that feel off for me like having too little equipment and dying in an instant with almost every character on gold and beyond. turian soldier works mostly best for platinum in my case. do i have to be the host to change how much the enemy attacks me by lowering the fps or is it individual?
