Never heard of this before, but I fell in love immediately.

Where did you find the Prelude's score? What's the source? The Fugue strongly sounds like it's a transcription from a piece for lute, the Prelude doesn't.

Are you sure this is Bach?

Styze Soulmaker Some musicologists doubt it, if it's Bach, he would have written it in Köthen

This is probably one of his early works?

Apparently, he wrote it when he was in Köthen (1717-1723), although some specialists believe that Bach may not have written it

The name of the album this is taken from is "Music by the young J.S. Bach". So it is indeed an early work. Bach wrote many suites and sonatas and other pieces while still an "apprentice"; he was actually mostly self-taught. Although his early works are not as distinguished as his later music it still has a lot of charm and is always well-constructed.

Groves lists the piece as written "ca. 1709, Weimar".

The fugues sometimes resembles the fugue from the ouverture of the keyboard partita in D
