That bit about feeling like the notebook was ruined when you make a mistake on the first page. I felt that in my soul.

I'm starting grad school this August. I have been looking at these traveler's notebooks since I started watching your channel. I ALWAYS use notebooks. I actually get weird looks from other students as they all type away on their Macbooks. However, as an older student, I'm old school. Writing long form triggers parts of the brain that typing doesn't.

I’ve always gotten weird looks for taking notes on paper in work meetings while everyone is clacking away on their laptops. I have found a paper based system is much faster to use, helps my recall, and helps me pay attention better.

Love love love your videos - so informative and easy to listen to :-) AND love love love using my Traveller Notebooks too. Thanks for sharing - we too have just returned from visiting Japan, specifically to visit each of the Traveller Factory Stores - four now in total. AND like you I love Swiss Army knives … especially the Classic models. I too bought one plus the leather pouch … BUT someone else is now enjoying this purchase as I misplaced it Journalling somewhere :-) very sad. Thanks for sharing your passion for these things which are so so fun to use in so so many ways.

Just got back from Japan and ended up at the TC store in Tokyo Station twice. Once at the beginning of the trip to pick up an olive cover for my notebooks and once at the end so my daughter could buy the Japan-only cover for her now jam-packed TC insert scrapbook. I found myself agreeing to your third point. When I first got my TN, I babied it too much and got scared whenever there was a little scratch or a stain. But I realised I completely ignored the first word of the Traveler's Notebook-Traveler! It's supposed to get scratched up and have all sorts of spots and stains on it. I still call my TN my little baby but I make sure it experiences most of my travels physically as well :) and also i love metal and wood boxes as well haha

There is a small store in Washington DC, about an hour from where I live, that sells Travelers Notebook products on site. Went there with my wife back in...January? And got kitted out. I use my Travelers notebook as a tool for collecting in the moment game notes, tracking character growth progress, and plotting scenarios for TTRPG game I run for friends of mine once a month (Call of Cthulhu for those curious - I even found a little Cthulhu keychain charm for it!). It's been super helpful for me organization wise, and i'm considering picking up another for different use cases. But I would have never even known about these, if not for your videos. It's so cool that you got to go to the flagship store and share that experience!

I took your advice in an earlier video and purchased a Lamy fountain pen and the Travelers Notebook. A perfect blend and so easy to really use. I did ended up obtaining a Kaweco Sport fountain pen, as it is easy to carry in my pocket. The Lamy is an extremely fine writer, while the Kaweco is relativity close, however, the compact size was the difference. When I take time to journal, I use both pens, as they have different colored inks...Thanks again.

Travelers notebook factory is also one of my fave shops…I also visited the store that was at Tokyo Station (not sure if it’s still there)…can easily spend a LOT of money there! For years, I've browsed their shop in Narita T1 but only picked up a couple trinkets. A couple weeks ago, I noticed their setup at the Tokyu Hands in Ginza and ended up going buck wild since the dollar to yen exchange is crazy good for dollar earners right now. I normally carry a larger notebook when traveling and I gotta say your videos have helped me to rethink that approach and consider Travelers. I didn't get a cover since I'm going to make my own, but next time I'm gonna have to swing by Nakameguro to check out their store.
